Guidance on online enrollment confirmation procedures in Vietnam in 2024

The online enrollment confirmation procedures for 2024 are as follows:

Step 1: Log in to the system

Candidates access the website http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn/ to fill in the information including ID number, login code, verification code, then press the login button.

Step 2: Candidates search for admission results from the lookup menu

Candidates select the menu, then select the function to lookup admission results.

Step 3: View admission results

The results will prioritize the candidates' top choices. If the candidate passes the first choice, it will be marked "passed" for choice 1 and "failed" for all other choices. If the first choice fails, the system will continue to consider the following choices.

Step 4: Confirm enrollment

Once the candidate passes the choice, they will have the right to confirm enrollment.

Step 5: Select agree to complete enrollment confirmation

Candidates select agree to confirm enrollment.

Step 6: Enrollment status

The notification status box as enrolled means you have successfully confirmed enrollment and the university has received the candidate's information.

Note: candidates will not be able to cancel online enrollment confirmation.

What are deadlines for selected candidates to complete the first round online enrollment confirmation on the System in Vietnam?

Based on subsection 8 Section 1 of Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024 as follows:

I. For Candidates

8. Confirm Enrollment:

- For candidates who are directly admitted, from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 p.m. on July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm their enrollment on the System (candidates who have confirmed enrollment will not be allowed to continue registering for admission options unless permitted by the head of training establishment to not enroll). If undecided on enrollment, candidates can continue to register for admission options on the System or the national public service portal like other candidates for the training establishment to consider, if enrolled, candidates will confirm their enrollment following the common schedule;

- The deadline is 5:00 p.m. on August 27, 2024, for all selected candidates to complete the first round online enrollment confirmation on the System.

9. From August 28, 2024, to December 2024, candidates who need to apply for additional admission rounds of the training establishment should follow the updates published on the admission information site of the training establishment (if training establishment conducts additional admission rounds). Candidates who have been admitted and confirmed enrollment will not be allowed to apply for additional admissions unless permitted by the head of training establishment to not enroll.

10. Candidates submit review documents to the training establishment (according to the guidance regarding time and location of the training establishment). Candidates applying for majors with examination subjects, using exam scores from other training establishments for admission, must contact the training establishment to register for the exam, attend the exam, or submit exam scores.

The deadline for selected candidates to complete the first round online enrollment confirmation on the System is: the deadline is 5:00 p.m. on August 27, 2024.

How to resolve inconsistencies in ID/Citizen ID/IDCode information between the System and the candidates' declarations at the training institution in Vietnam?

Based on subsection 5 Section 3 of Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024 as follows:

For Training Institutions

1. Issue admission projects and regulations of the training establishment; Each training establishment is assigned one code and provided with one account (username and password). When logging into the System, training establishment must fully and accurately update information about the training establishment; responsible for the data and information uploaded to the System.

5. Admission Review Procedures:

a) Only conduct admission reviews for programs/majors that meet the training eligibility requirements. For majors that stop admission, public announcement should be made on the electronic information page of the training establishment;

- During the admission review process, ensure the number of admitted candidates, after estimating the not enrolling rate, is suitable for the published quota and does not exceed the number according to the admission quota determination regulations;

- When there is inconsistency in ID/Citizen ID/Identification Code information between the System and the candidate's declaration at the training establishment, the training establishment shall base on the ID/Citizen ID/Identification Code on the System and use it throughout the entire registration, application handling, and enrollment process. The correct ID/Citizen ID will be updated after the candidate enrolls at the training establishment;

- The System has supported training establishment with early admission review to report statistics of qualified candidates who have registered for admission wishes at the training establishment or other training establishments. The training establishment shall access the System to select the Report, data exploitation report section, to download the statistical report of registration wishes of candidates qualified for early admission. Review the list of candidates informed of their qualification for admission. If the candidate does not meet the previously informed qualification requirements, the training establishment must promptly contact, notify the candidate, and have a support plan for the candidate.

The Ministry of Education and Training guides during the admission process, the training institution will base on ID/Citizen ID/Identification Code on the System and use it throughout the entire registration, application handling, and enrollment process when information between the System and the candidate's declaration at the training institution is inconsistent.

The correct  ID/Citizen ID will be updated after the candidate enrolls at the training institution.
