After the Lunar New Year Holiday 2025, what is the deadline for completing enrollment for entry grades of the educational levels in Vietnam?
Under Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT 2024 regarding the 2024-2025 academic year plan for preschool, general education, and continuing education"
The Ministry of Education and Training issues the 2024-2025 academic year plan for preschool, general education, and continuing education nationwide as follows:
1. The earliest school opening date is set 1 week before the official commencement ceremony. For first graders, the earliest start date is 2 weeks prior to the commencement ceremony.
2. The commencement ceremony is organized on September 05, 2024.
3. The first semester ends before January 18, 2025, and the school year is completed before May 31, 2025.
4. The recognition of completion of primary education and graduation from lower secondary education is conducted before June 30, 2025.
5. Enrollment for the entry grades of all educational levels is completed before July 31, 2025.
6. The national high school exam 2025 is scheduled to take place on June 26 and June 27, 2025.
7. Other national-level exams are organized as per the Ministry of Education and Training’s guidelines and regulations.
Thus, after the Lunar New Year Holiday 2025, enrollment for the entry grades of all educational levels is completed before July 31, 2025.

What are the solutions to comply with the 2024 - 2025 academic year plans in Vietnam after the Tet holiday?
According to Official Dispatch 8258/BGDDT-GDCTHSSV 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training requires Departments of Education and Training and training institutions; universities, academies, and colleges of education to emphasize the following contents:
Regarding assurance of security, order, crime prevention, fire prevention and fighting
- Strengthen the dissemination and education of students to adopt a civilized lifestyle, maintain social order, enhance skills in accident prevention, avoid social evils, ensure security and order, and school safety;
Raise awareness and personal responsibility to prevent crime tactics, especially those operating in cyberspace, black credit crimes, fraud, social evils, gambling, football betting, business fraud, public disorder, and resisting law enforcement during the Tet holidays.
- Ensure on-duty shifts and protect the premises, maintaining absolute safety of infrastructure, fire and explosion prevention during the Tet holiday; promote public awareness and education for students, strictly prohibit involvement in the production, purchase, transportation, storage, or illegal use of weapons, explosives, support tools, and fireworks.
Adhere strictly to regulations and conditions for fire and explosion prevention; prepare solutions to comply with the 2024 - 2025 academic year plans after the Tet holiday.
