(1) Guide and educate to raise awareness about ensuring safety skills for both teachers and students in physical education and sports activities.
(2) Integrate with projects, programs related to ensuring reasonable nutrition, and enhancing physical activities for students to improve health, height, and physical fitness.
(3) Enhance the application of information technology to collect exercises in physical education and sports in order to diversify the content and form of training. Guide students and parents to safely and effectively utilize information in cyberspace for physical education and sports activities.
(4) Guide and train teachers and lecturers in physical education with the knowledge and skills to identify and nurture gifted sports students in the school.
(5) Organize counseling and direct students to participate in training and competition in sports to enhance physical strength and physical development.
What are the responsibilities of schools in organizing sports activities in Vietnam?
Under Article 11 Circular 48/2020/TT-BGDDT, the responsibilities of schools in organizing sports activities in Vietnam are as follows:
- Rigorously implement Circular 48/2020/TT-BGDDT and the directives and guidance of superior educational management agencies.
- Conduct assessments and classify students' physical fitness according to regulations.
- Arrange for physical education teachers and lecturers to participate in guiding, organizing, and managing sports clubs and sports competitions.
- Develop plans to facilitate for physical education teachers and lecturers to receive training, professional development; engage in scientific research; organize practice and sports competition activities; coach teams for participation in multi-level sports tournaments.
- Develop plans to organize sports activities for students in schools and delegate teams to participate in sports competitions organized by educational management agencies, the Vietnam Student Sports Association, the Vietnam Parent University and the Professional Sports Association.
- Annually, plan the construction, repair, maintenance, and use of facilities; purchase and supplement equipment and tools for physical education and sports activities.
