What are the Top 4 sample descriptive essays about famous landscapes for 5th-grade students in Vietnam?

5th-grade students may refer to the following  descriptive essays about famous landscapes:

Ha Long

Ha Long is a land of great natural beauty, gathering on a vast basin more than hundreds or thousands of islands of various sizes and shapes. Some islands appear like giant turtles floating on the water's surface. Others resemble a woman watching for her husband's return.

The islands here do not stand alone, separate, and isolated but instead cluster together, winding and connecting to form giant dragons coiling on the blue sea surface.

Exploring each island, one becomes increasingly amazed and delighted while admiring the naturally created caves. A product of the combination of stone and water. Entering the caves is like stepping into a magical and mystical world. On the high, wide cave ceilings, countless round dents appear like the footprints of hundreds of thousands of giant elephants. On the ground, stone slabs and mountains rise sharply like spearheads. They gather to form a natural thorn forest on the ground. Red and shimmering. Nature was already extraordinary; enhanced by human touch with illuminating lights, it becomes even more majestic and attractive..

Ha Long is beautiful not just because of the poetic islands or the "stunning" caves. However, without them, there wouldn't be a captivating and mesmerizing Ha Long as we know it today.

Ha Long Bay is among the few famous scenic spots worldwide in our country. It is the pride of the Vietnamese about a place where nature favors humanity. I love Ha Long and hope it continues to retain its sparkling beauty, harmonizing rock and water.

Hoan Kiem Lake

As I set foot in Hoan Kiem Lake, a peculiar feeling crept into my chest for an instant. It was because a long-held dream had finally come true and also because this place was truly beautiful. The beauty of Hoan Kiem Lake is the harmony between nature and human-made architecture. These two elements harmonize purely and naturally as if they were meant to be. Hoan Kiem Lake is renowned for its wide and flat lake surface, like a giant mirror. The lake water is cyan, very deep, containing an entire world beneath. Standing close, I could see the gentle ripples on the lake surface, undulating consistently like a green silk drifting to the shore, unlike what is described as motionless in books. In the middle of the lake stands an ancient four-story tower with many windows appearing thoughtful. That's Turtle Tower, often mentioned in poetry about Hoan Kiem Lake. The tower is covered with green moss, and the paint is peeling off, looking gray, imbued with the contemplative spirit of time. It is the greatest evidence of what Hoan Kiem Lake has been through. Surrounding the tower is only vast water, separating it from the noisy and bustling city. Seeing the tower, I feel it carries an indescribable melancholy.

Closer to the lake shore is Ngoc Son Temple, nestled under verdant, towering trees. Unlike Turtle Tower, Ngoc Son Temple appears newer and more majestic. Perhaps because this place is carefully restored, maintained, and often visited by people offering incense and praying. The temple space is quiet, solemn, with only the sound of rustling leaves outside and footsteps of passersby. Although restored many times, Ngoc Son Temple still retains its original architectural and decorative style, fully preserving its old and ancient charm. The way leading to the temple is The Huc Bridge, painted bright red, curved like a shrimp. The comparative images I read in books appeared vivid and whimsical when I saw them in person.

Around Hoan Kiem Lake, embankments have been built. The lake shore is also paved flatly, facilitating movement. Many tall green trees growing around the lake shore are meticulously cared for and protected. Each tree is large, with lush green canopies reflecting on the lake surface. Additionally, numerous beautiful flowerbeds are planted amongst the tree trunks, creating a fresh beauty that enhances the scenic color palette around the lake. It seems the planter intentionally created a natural fence from trees and flowers to protect the space inside the lake. Even though Hoan Kiem Lake is located in the bustling, chaotic center of Hanoi, it retains its old, ancient, and serene essence. Strolling around the lake, I feel time here moves slower than outside. The space here possesses a unique color, encouraging people to slow down and savor every moment here.

Leaving Hoan Kiem Lake, blending into the bustling flow of the capital, I feel more regretful about the time spent visiting the lake. If only I could stay there a little longer, to witness the sunset and season transition there, how wonderful it would be. That thought kept urging within me, kindling a new desire. A desire to revisit Hoan Kiem Lake on the nearest day.

Da Lat City

Last summer, my father took me to visit my aunt's house in Da Lat City, a romantic, poetic land in the Central Highlands. I was truly captivated by the beauty and cool, fresh climate of this fairyland. I spent days exploring each landmark and monument of Da Lat. Although I have not visited them all, I am very impressed with this land.

Da Lat is a city in Lam Dong Province, often called a highland city because it is surrounded by mountains upon mountains. Da Lat is associated with vast pine forests, winding roads, and many interesting destinations.

My aunt took me to Valley of Love, Than Tho Lake, Bao Dai Palace, Truc Lam Zen Monastery, Da Lat College, and the legendary Lang Biang...Each place left unique impressions on me. However, I liked visiting Truc Lam Zen Monastery the most, located about 5km from Da Lat's city center, with a winding road. People can take a cable car to Truc Lam Zen Monastery, but my aunt took me by motorbike. From afar, Truc Lam Zen Monastery seemed like a fairyland emerging amidst the overlapping mountains and forests. Truc Lam Zen Monastery is a famous landmark, a large pagoda in Da Lat, attracting numerous tourists yearly.

Entering the monastery gate, everyone acted devoutly and solemnly, as this is the Buddha's place, a sacred place. People eagerly came as if attending a New Year festival.

In the main hall, Buddha Shakyamuni holding a lotus is worshiped, with Bodhisattva Manjushri riding a lion and Bodhisattva Samantabhadra riding a six-tusked white elephant on either side. Thus, visitors and Buddhists come here to offer incense, praying for peace and luck.

Within Truc Lam Zen Monastery’s premises, there are many small pagodas providing spaces for monks, nuns, and Buddhists from various places to practice Buddha recitation. People move quietly inside the shrine, praying, and incense offerings for fortune.

Notably, Truc Lam Zen Monastery has many kinds of flowers blooming year-round, hydrangeas blossoming, big round blooms crowding with rose bushes, chrysanthemum...Each type of flower possesses a unique beauty that amazes visitors.

Visiting Truc Lam Zen Monastery, many people will enjoy the view of Tuyen Lam Lake surrounded by drooping green willow trees. The lake contains many fish, and visitors flock to take photos.

Standing from the zen monastery, I saw Da Lat City afar, enveloped in a beautiful mist.

As I left Truc Lam Zen Monastery, I felt a slight regret for this sacred Buddhist land. I hope to return here soon on the nearest day.

Vung Tau City

In the past summer vacation, my family organized a trip to Vung Tau for a week. I was very excited as I had longed to see the clear blue sea.

Early in the morning, around four or five o'clock, my family got on the vehicle and headed to Vung Tau. We did not arrive until near noon. I got off the vehicle and looked around. Oh! I exclaimed. The sunlight reflected off the sea, making the water glisten brightly. The clear sea revealed to me the strange, even sandy shore. Before I could take in the full view of the surroundings, I had to help my parents carry the luggage to the hostel room.

The hostel was also very comfortable. But what I loved most was the room had a window, from which one could see the beach. After taking a nap to regain my energy, I changed clothes and ran to the beach. The sea now had a murky blue color. The gentle sunlight spread over the white sand. Occasionally, a breeze would blow by, swaying the lush coconut trees.

I walked step by step on the fine, hot sand towards the sea. The cool sea water felt refreshing. By this time, only a few visitors were hastily leaving to catch their journey. The sand frogs quickly scurried back to their burrows. As the sunlight completely faded, I had to return to the room with a hint of regret.

At night, I stood by the window looking towards the beach. Now the beach was entirely black, but I could see the foamy waves washing up onto the sand. I could hear the waves' soothing whispers like a gentle love song lulling me to sleep.

In the morning, I brushed my teeth, rinsed my mouth, and had breakfast. Then, I took little Lan to the beach. The sunlight penetrated the sea. I found the sea color the most beautiful at this time. A dazzling emerald green like a rainbow. A small wave splashed upon where I stood. The cool sea water made me pull my feet back. I felt very joyful. Gradually, the sea warmed under the sunlight. More people came to swim. Viewed from above, it looked like a colorful, moving picture.

Then, a week quickly passed. I had to pack clothes and belongings to return home. Feeling melancholic, I could not stay. Before stepping onto the vehicle, I glanced back at the beach scenery. Everything seemed to pull me back. I exclaimed, "Goodbye, dear sea! I will come back one day."
