Under Clause 1, Article 4 of the Regulations on subject classrooms of general educational institutions promulgated with Circular 14/2020/TT-BGDDT, the requirements regarding equipment rooms for primary education in Vietnam are as follows:

- The general educational institution must have a minimum of one education equipment room to store, maintain, and prepare teaching equipment for subjects without a dedicated classroom.

- Teaching equipment in the education equipment room must be organized and arranged separately by subject and grade level.

- The minimum working area for the education equipment room must not be less than 48m2.

What types of subject classrooms do primary schools in Vietnam have?

According to Clause 1, Article 4 of the Regulation on subject classrooms of general educational institutions issued together with Circular 14/2020/TT-BGDDT, the regulations on subject classrooms are as follows:

Subject Classrooms

1. Types of subject classrooms

a) Primary schools have subject classrooms such as: Science - Technology (shared for Natural and Social Sciences, Science, Technology subjects), Informatics, Foreign Languages, Music, Art, Multipurpose;

b) Lower secondary schools have subject classrooms such as: Natural Sciences, Technology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, Music, Art, Multipurpose, Social Sciences (shared for Civic Education, History, and Geography subjects);

c) Upper secondary schools have subject classrooms such as: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Technology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, Music, Art, Multipurpose, Social Sciences (shared for History, Geography, Economics, and Law Education subjects);

d) Multiple-level schools will determine their subject classrooms based on the provisions in points a, b, and c of Clause 1 of this Article. Subject classrooms in multi-level general schools should be separately arranged for different educational levels, except for subject classrooms that can be shared for several subjects to ensure the content, teaching methods, and organizational forms meet the requirements.
