Based on subsection 8 Section 1 of Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024:

8. Enrollment confirmation:

- For candidates eligible for direct admission, from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 PM on July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm their enrollment on the System (candidates who have confirmed their enrollment will not be allowed to continue registering for additional preferences, except in cases permitted by the head of the training institution not to enroll). In cases where enrollment is not yet confirmed, candidates can continue to register for additional preferences on the System or the national public service portal like other candidates. If admitted, candidates will confirm enrollment according to the general schedule;

- No later than 5:00 PM on August 27, 2024, all admitted candidates must complete the online enrollment confirmation for the first phase on the System.

9. From August 28, 2024, to December 2024, candidates wishing to apply for additional intake batches of the training institution, should follow the Admission Guidelines posted on the training institution's admission information page (if the training institution accepts additional intakes). Candidates who have been admitted and confirmed their enrollment will not be eligible for additional intakes, except in cases permitted by the head of the training institution not to enroll.

10. Candidates submit proof of admission at the training institution (according to the instructions on time and location of the training institution). Candidates applying for artistic talent courses, using their talent scores from another training institution, must contact the training institution to register for the exam, take the exam, or submit the talent test scores.

According to the 2024 admission plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, by 5:00 PM on August 27 is the deadline for candidates to confirm their enrollment for the first phase on the joint admission support system.

However, on August 28, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that they would continue to open the system for confirming enrollment for the first phase until before 5:00 PM on August 31, 2024, to accommodate candidates who, for objective reasons, had not yet completed the enrollment confirmation.

Latest guidelines for confirming online enrollment for 2024 on admission system in Vietnam

The procedures for confirming online enrollment for 2024 are as follows:

Step 1: Log into the system

Candidates access the website http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn/ to fill in the required information including ID number, login code, verification code, then click the login button.

Step 2: Candidates check their admission results from the lookup menu

Candidates select the menu, then choose the feature to check the admission results.

Step 3: View admission results

The results will prioritize the candidates' top preferences. If a candidate passes their first preference, it will show "passed" for that preference and "failed" for all other preferences. If they fail the first preference, the system will continue to check the following preferences.

Step 4: Confirm enrollment

Once the candidate passes a preference, they have the right to confirm enrollment.

Step 5: Select agree to complete the enrollment confirmation

Candidates select agree to confirm enrollment.

Step 6: Enrollment status

The enrollment status box indicating that you have enrolled successfully means that you have confirmed enrollment successfully and the university has received the information from the candidate.

Note: candidates will not be able to cancel the online enrollment confirmation.

Are candidates in Vietnam allowed to register for additional intakes if they have already confirmed enrollment in 2024?

Based on Clause 4, Article 21 of the University Admission Regulations, College Admission Regulations for Preschool Education issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT:

Notification of results and confirmation of enrollment

1. Training institutions send admission notifications to admitted candidates, specifying the necessary procedures for candidates upon enrollment and the method of enrollment.

2. Candidates confirm enrollment online on the system before enrolling at the training institution.

3. For candidates who do not confirm enrollment within the prescribed time:

a) If there is no valid reason, it will be considered a refusal to enroll, and the training institution has the right not to accept;

b) If due to illness or accident, with a certification from the district-level hospital or higher, or due to natural disasters with a certification from the district-level People's Committee or higher, the training institution will consider whether to accept the candidate or defer the admission results for future enrollment;

c) If due to errors or mistakes by the staff involved in the admission process or the individual's actions, the training institution will cooperate with relevant individuals and organizations to review the evidence and decide whether to accept the candidate or defer the admission results for future enrollment.

4. Candidates who have confirmed enrollment at one training institution are not allowed to participate in admission at another institution or in additional intake batches unless permitted by the training institution.

Therefore, candidates who have confirmed enrollment are not allowed to participate in additional intake admissions, except in cases permitted by the training institution.
