What is a formula for calculating Archimedes' Principle? When can 8th-grade students in Vietnam transfer schools?

What is the formula for calculating Archimedes' Principle?

Archimedes' principle is the force exerted on an object immersed in a fluid, causing the object to be pushed vertically upwards by the fluid. This force is equal to the weight of the fluid that is displaced by the object.

8th-grade students will learn the formula for calculating Archimedes' Principle as follows:

FA = d * V

Where:

FA: Archimedes' force (N)

d: Specific weight of the fluid (N/m³)

V: Volume of the fluid displaced by the object (m³)

*Significance of the formula:

Archimedes' force is directly proportional to the specific weight of the fluid and the volume of the fluid displaced by the object.

The greater the specific weight of the fluid, the greater the Archimedes' force acting on the object.

The greater the submerged volume of the object, the greater the Archimedes' force acting on the object.

*Example:

An object with a volume of 2dm³ is fully immersed in water. Calculate the Archimedes' force acting on the object, knowing the specific weight of water is 10000N/m³.

Solution:

Convert 2dm³ to 0.002m³

Apply the formula: FA = d.V = 10000 * 0.002 = 20N

*Note: The information about the formula for calculating Archimedes' Principle is for reference only./.

When can 8th-grade students in Vietnam transfer schools?

According to Article 4, the regulation on transferring and receiving students in lower and upper secondary schools issued with Decision 51/2002/QD-BGDĐT regarding re-enrollment:

a) Students relocate their residence with their parents or guardian.

b) Students are particularly disadvantaged or have legitimate reasons that necessitate a school transfer.

2. Re-enrollment:

Students seek re-enrollment after a period of absence but are still within the age guidelines for each educational level.

Therefore, 8th-grade students in Vietnam can transfer schools under one of the following two cases:

Case 1: Students relocate their residence with their parents or guardian.

Case 2: Students are particularly disadvantaged or have legitimate reasons that necessitate a school transfer.

When is the school transfer for lower secondary school students in Vietnam conducted?

Under Article 35 of the lower secondary school, upper secondary school and multi-level school charter issued with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDĐT, school transfer is a student's right.

However, lower secondary school students must meet certain conditions as specified in Clause 2, Article 5 of the regulation on transferring and receiving students in lower and upper secondary schools issued with Decision 51/2002/QD-BGDDT:

School transfer procedures.

...

2. Transfer procedures:

a) For lower secondary school students:

Transfer within the same province or municipality: The principal of the receiving school accepts the application and considers it according to the regulations of the Director of the Department of Education and Training.

Transfer from another province or municipality: The Department of Education and Training in the receiving area accepts and introduces the school according to the place of residence, along with the verified documentation.

b) For upper secondary school students:

Transfer within the same province or municipality: The principal of the receiving school accepts the application and considers it according to the regulations of the Director of the Department of Education and Training.

Transfer from another province or municipality: The Department of Education and Training in the receiving area accepts, verifies the documentation, and introduces the school.

3. Transfers are conducted at the end of the first semester of the academic year or during the summer break before the start of the new academic year. Exceptions regarding the timing are decided by the Head of the Department of Education and Training (for lower secondary level) or the Director of the Department of Education and Training (for upper secondary level) in the receiving area.

Thus, according to the above regulations, the school transfer for lower secondary school students in Vietnam is conducted at the end of the first semester of the academic year or during the summer break before the start of the new academic year.

Exceptions regarding timing are considered and decided by the Head of the Department of Education and Training (for lower secondary level) in the receiving area.
