Sample 1:

Once upon a time, there was a young man named Lac Long Quan in the land of Lac Viet, who possessed exceptional talent and virtue, and he was of the Dragon lineage. Lac Long Quan, the son of the deity Long Nu, had a deep affection for the people and high martial arts skills. He often ventured onto land to help people eliminate demons and taught them farming skills. People all over the region loved the kind and talented Lac Long Quan. At that time, in the northern highlands, there was a beautiful girl named Au Co. She was the daughter of the deity Nong, who was closely associated with the planting of rice, corn, sweet potatoes, and cassava for the people. People everywhere praised the land of Lac Viet with its fragrant flowers and exotic plants. Driven by her love for beauty and curiosity about this land, she asked her father, the king, for permission to visit. There, she met Lac Long Quan; they fell in love, married, and lived together in Long Trang.

After some time, Au Co became pregnant and gave birth to a large pouch with a hundred eggs, which, after seven days, hatched into a hundred children. As children of deities, they were handsome and did not need to be breastfed by their mother, growing up quickly and becoming very strong and talented. After living with his wife and children on land for a while, Lac Long Quan felt nostalgic for his homeland. This deep yearning caused him great hesitation, and finally, he decided to return to his birthplace. Feeling lonely and missing her husband, Au Co sorrowfully called upon Lac Long Quan:

- How could you leave me and our children here alone and go away? Why not stay and help me care for and teach our children?

Lac Long Quan compassionately explained his feelings to his wife:

- I am of the dragon lineage, belonging to the underwater realm, while you are a fairy of the magnificent mountains. Our homes and habits are inherently different. Thus, it is challenging for us to be together for long. I hope you understand my sentiments.

Au Co listened in silence, tears streaming down as she heard her husband's explanation. Lac Long Quan lovingly continued:

- This is my proposal, Au Co! Let us divide our responsibilities for our children; I will take fifty of them to the sea, and you will take fifty to the mountains. If difficulties arise, let us support and help each other. Although we may be far apart, I vow to remain loyal. Do you agree?

Despite her sadness, Au Co listened to her husband, taking 50 children to Phong Chau to care for them. As they grew up, all were talented; the eldest son founded a country, taking the era name Hung Vuong, and named the country Van Lang. Throughout generations, as they established and built the nation, the children succeeded the throne, all bearing the title Hung Vuong. The Hung Kings made significant contributions to our nation's development.

Later, when recalling the origins of our nation, everyone takes pride in being descendants of the Dragon and Immortal. People across the country also uphold the spirit of the nation, mutual support, and solidarity, worthy of the exhortations of previous generations. So, my friends, the story "Con Rồng cháu Tiên" is simple but imparts deep lessons about origins and national spirit.

Sample 2:

Long ago, in the lands of Lac Viet, now known as the Northern region of our country, there existed a dragon-bodied deity, the son of Long Nu, named Lac Long Quan. With the invincible strength of the dragon lineage and magical transformations taught by his parents, he often ventured to help the people eliminate evil beings and taught them agricultural and animal husbandry methods...

Simultaneously, in the northern highlands, there was a goddess of exquisite beauty named Au Co, belonging to the Nong lineage. Hearing about the lush and colorful land of Lac Viet, abundant in flowers and exotic flora, she visited. There, she encountered Lac Long Quan, and they became husband and wife, living happily together in the Long Trang palace.

Before long, Au Co became pregnant. The people eagerly awaited the day of her childbearing. But surprisingly, she gave birth to a pouch containing a hundred eggs, from which emerged a hundred rosy, chubby children, who grew swiftly and were all handsome and strong.

One day, Lac Long Quan suddenly missed the sea intensely, so he returned to the underwater realm, leaving Au Co and the children longing for his return. Eventually, Au Co summoned Lac Long Quan, lamenting:

- Why did you leave me and not stay to help raise the children?

Lac Long Quan sorrowfully replied:

- My life is tied to the deep sea, while you are a fairy of the high mountains. One below the water, the other above land; separation is inevitable. Furthermore, I have aging parents in the deep sea without caretakers, and responsibilities that no one else can fulfill. So, I will take fifty children to the sea while you take fifty to the mountains. Divide our governance, and support each other in times of hardship.

With no other option, Au Co took fifty children up the mountains. Her eldest child was honored as king, taking the title Hung Vuong, and named the kingdom Van Lang, with the capital at Phong Chau. Within the court were civil and military officers, the king's sons were called Lang, and daughters were called Mi Nuong. It is said that the title Hung Vuong remained unchanged for many generations.

Because of this legend, later generations are proud to be the descendants of the Dragon and Immortal.
