"Oh, how ironic life is! Since the day my parents passed away, I have lived alone in a small house by the river. This iron axe is all I have, the tool that helps me make a living day by day. Every day, I go into the forest to chop wood, sell it to buy rice to feed myself.

That day, while I was chopping wood, the axe unfortunately slipped from my hand and plunged into the deep river. I sat by the river, looking into the clear water, my heart tight. That axe was so precious to me, how could I live without it?

In despair, I suddenly remembered the fairy tales my grandmother used to tell. Could any deity help me find my axe? I sat there, silently praying for divine intervention.

Suddenly, a deity appeared before me. He asked, "Young man, why are you sitting here crying?" I told him everything. After listening, the deity smiled and said, "I will help you find your axe. But first, tell me what you lost?"

I replied, "Sir, I lost my iron axe."

The deity asked again, "Are you sure that is your axe?"

Surprised, I still answered, "Yes, it is. It's the axe my father left me."

The deity shook his head and said, "I see you haven't spoken the truth. Try saying it again."

I thought for a moment and then said, "Sir, perhaps I lied. I'm not very sure about that axe. Maybe it's just an ordinary axe."

Hearing me say this, the deity was very pleased. He waved his hand, and suddenly, a golden axe emerged from the river. He asked me, "Is this your axe?"

I shook my head and said, "No, it's not."

Once more, he waved his hand, and a silver axe came up. He asked again, "Is this your axe?"

I still shook my head.

Finally, he waved his hand a third time, and my iron axe emerged. I was overjoyed and quickly picked it up. The deity smiled and said, "You are an honest young man. I am very pleased with you. Take this axe and go home."

Since then, I have always remembered the lesson about honesty that the deity taught me. I understand that honesty is the most precious virtue of a person. And I always strive to live well so as not to disappoint the deity."
