- Recognize the theme and message that the text wants to convey to readers.
- Identify the emotions and sentiments of the writer expressed through the language of the text.
- Summarize the text concisely.
Reading comprehension of form
- Identify some elements of proverbs: number of sentences, words, rhyme.
- Identify some elements of fables and science fiction stories such as theme, event, situation, plot, character, space, time.
- Recognize character traits expressed through gestures, actions, dialogues; through the thoughts of other characters in the story; through the narrator's words.
- Recognize and state the effect of changing the type of narrator (first-person narrator and third-person narrator) in a narrative.
- Recognize and comment on the uniqueness of a poem expressed through words, images, rhyme, rhythm, stylistic devices.
- Identify the lyrical nature, the self, and the language of essays and prose.
Relation, comparison, connection
- Describe life experiences that help understand more about the characters and events in the literary work.
- Express agreement or disagreement with the author's attitude, sentiment, and problem-solving methods; state the reasons.
