What are the health types eligible for admission to military schools in Vietnam?
According to Article 4 of Circular 105/2023/TT-BQP, the regulations are as follows:
Health requirements
1. Health requirements for conscription
a) General requirements
Achieve health type 1, type 2, or type 3 as stipulated in Article 5 and Article 6 of this Circular;
Exemption from conscription for citizens addicted to drugs and precursors as defined in Decree No. 57/2022/ND-CP dated August 25, 2022, by the Government of Vietnam, which specifies lists of drugs and precursors.
b) Specific requirements: Meet specific health requirements for conscription defined by the Minister of National Defense.
2. Health requirements for military enrollment for full-time training programs at university, college, and intermediate type; military enrollment for university and college-type training in the basic military sector
a) General requirements: Achieve health type 1, type 2 as stipulated in Article 5 and Article 6 of this Circular;
b) Specific requirements: Follow the regulations of the Ministry of National Defense on recruitment into the military schools.

What are the health check-up contents for admission to military schools in Vietnam?
According to Article 8 of Circular 105/2023/TT-BQP, the health check-up contents for admission to military schools in Vietnam include:
- Physical examination; clinical examinations by specialized fields: Eyes, ENT, oral and maxillofacial, internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, surgery, dermatology, gynecology (for females);
- Para-clinical examinations: Complete blood count; blood group (ABO); liver function (AST, ALT); renal function (Urea, Creatinine); blood glucose; hepatitis B virus (HBsAg); hepatitis C virus (Anti-HCV); HIV; complete urinalysis (10 parameters); general abdominal ultrasound; electrocardiogram; chest X-ray; urine test for drug detection. The Chairman of the Council may specify additional tests as needed for an accurate health conclusion.
