Are preschool teachers entitled to a day off on Vietnamese Teacher's Day - November 20?
According to Article 13 of the Law on Public Employees 2010, the rights of public employees to rest are stipulated as follows:
Rights of public employees to rest
1. To take annual leaves, holidays and leaves for personal reasons under the labor law. Public employees who do not use any or all of prescribed annual leave days due to work requirements are entitled to a sum of money for those days on which they work.

What is the salary paid to a Grade 1 preschool teacher in Vietnam during 2024?
According to Article 8 of Circular 01/2021/TT-BGDDT concerning the salary grading for public employees appointed as preschool teachers:
Salary Grading
1. Public employees appointed to the professional titles of preschool teachers specified in this circular apply the payroll corresponding to Decree No. 204/2004/ND-CP dated December 14, 2004, by the Government of Vietnam on salary policies for Vietnamese officials and public employees and the armed forces. To be specific:
a) Grade III preschool teacher, code V.07.02.26, applies salary coefficient of public employees of category A1, from a salary coefficient of 2.10 to 4.89;
b) Grade II preschool teacher, code V.07.02.25, applies salary coefficient of public employees of category A1, from a salary coefficient of 2.34 to 4.98;
c) Grade I preschool teacher, code V.07.02.24, applies salary coefficient of public employees of category A2, group A2.2 for public employees, from a salary coefficient of 4.0 to 6.38.
2. Salary grading upon appointment to each professional title follows the guidance in point 1, Section II of Circular No. 02/2007/TT-BNV on May 25, 2007, by the Ministry of Home Affairs guiding salary grading upon grade upgrades, transfers, transfers types for officials and public employees, and existing legal regulations. When new salary policies are implemented, change and grading to new salaries follow the regulations of the Government of Vietnam.
