Schedule for opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year for preschools in Vietnam

Based on Article 1 of Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT in 2024 regarding the schedule of the school year 2024-2025 in Vietnam:

Issuing the schedule of the school year 2024-2025 for preschool education, general education, and continuing education to be applied nationwide as follows:

1. Schools commence no earlier than one week before the opening ceremony. For first grade, schools may commence no earlier than two weeks before the opening ceremony.

2. The opening ceremony will be held on September 5, 2024.

3. The first semester concludes before January 18, 2025, and the academic year ends before May 31, 2025.

4. Recognition of primary school program completion and junior high school graduation before June 30, 2025.

5. Completion of admissions to entry-level classes before July 31, 2025.

6. The high school graduation exam for 2025 is expected to take place on June 26 and June 27, 2025.

7. Other national exams will be organized according to the regulations and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Thus, according to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, the opening ceremony will be held on September 5, 2024.

Therefore, the opening ceremony schedule for preschools for the school year 2024-2025 will be on September 5, 2024.

The number of members in the commendation and emulation council is odd.

The commendation and emulation council assists the principal in organizing commendation movements and proposing the reward list for staff, teachers, and employees in the school.

The chairperson of the commendation and emulation council convenes regular meetings at the beginning of the school year, at the end of the first semester, at the end of the school year, and extraordinary meetings when required by the job.

What are the duties and rights of preschool children when attending school in Vietnam?

Based on Article 33 of the Preschool Charter promulgated with Circular 52/2020/TT-BGDDT the rights of preschool children when attending school include:

- Being nurtured, cared for, and educated in accordance with the children's commuting conditions and the school's reception capacity.

- Being nurtured, cared for, and educated according to the preschool education program that suits the children's abilities and needs.

- Children with disabilities are integrated and enjoy policies on education for people with disabilities according to regulations.

- To be physically and mentally safe; to be cared for, respected, and treated equally; to be guaranteed their legitimate rights and interests; to be provided with proper material conditions, hygiene, and safety at the preschool.

- To participate in activities that enhance personal abilities.

- To enjoy policies as regulated.

- To enjoy other rights as stipulated by law.

Based on Article 34 of the Preschool Charter promulgated with Circular 52/2020/TT-BGDDT the duties of preschool children when attending school include:

- Being polite to grandparents, parents, teachers, and elders; being united, loving, and helping friends and younger children.

- Actively participating in nurturing, caring, and education activities appropriate to their abilities and age.

- Wearing neat attire appropriate to their age and convenient for activities at preschool.

- Maintaining personal hygiene; participating in maintaining the cleanliness of the school and class according to their ability, contributing to environmental protection.

- Complying with the regulations of the preschool.
