Promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, ethics, and style about self-reliance, resilience, and the aspiration for a prosperous and happy country in the current period. Part 3 Applying Ho Chi Minh’s thoughts, ethics, and style on enhancing the responsibility of officials and party members; On Self-Reliance and Resilience - First, self-reliance and resilience mean not depending on external forces, having an independent view in international relations. - Second, self-reliance and resilience involve recognizing the strength of patriotism and national spirit with pure internationalism. I live with thriftiness, integrity, righteousness, impartiality, and friendliness, serving the people wholeheartedly. Always participate in professional activities of the school and the sector. Always be aware of maintaining unity within the agency and unit. I put myself within the organization and the collective, respect principles and laws, do not form factions or cause internal disunity. Always encourage family members to maintain ethics and lifestyles, to build a cultural family. Besides my strengths, I also recognize that I have weaknesses such as occasionally not working scientifically, not being systematic, and sometimes not having a truly detailed and attentive work spirit. According to the regulations in Article 4 of the Regulations on Regular Professional Development for Teachers, Educational Administrators in Preschool Institutions, General Education Institutions, and Teachers in Regular Education Centers issued together with Circular 19/2019/TT-BGDDT, the principles of regular professional development for teachers are as follows:
- Meet the requirements of the academic year's tasks, professional standards, job positions, and development needs of preschool institutions, general education institutions, regular education centers, localities, and the sector.
- Ensure a high sense of self-study, continuous training at preschool institutions, general education institutions, and regular education centers, and the selection of training programs according to professional standards, job positions of teachers and administrators.
- Implement division, decentralization, and coordination mechanisms in organizing regular training.
- Ensure practicality, quality, publicity, transparency, and effectiveness.
How many types of regular professional development for teachers are there in Vietnam?
According to Clause 2, Article 6 of the Regulations on Regular Professional Development for Teachers, Educational Administrators in Preschool Institutions, General Education Institutions, and Teachers in Regular Education Centers issued together with Circular 19/2019/TT-BGDDT, there are three specific types of regular professional development for teachers as follows:
[1] Centralized: Conduct centralized professional development; guide teachers and administrators to self-study, practice, systematize knowledge, answer questions, and guide contents that meet the needs of teachers and administrators in regular professional development; create opportunities for teachers and administrators to exchange, share, discuss professional matters, practice skills.
The duration, number of teachers, and administrators participating in centralized learning are managed by decentralization but must meet the requirements regarding purposes, required results, content, methods, and duration of professional development stipulated in the Regular Professional Development Program and the regulations in this Regulation.
[2] Distance: Conduct distance professional development, enhance the application of information technology in training activities, online training for teachers, administrators, ensuring the requirements regarding purposes, required results, content, methods, and duration of professional development stipulated in the Regular Professional Development Program and the regulations in this Regulation;
[3] Semi-concentrated: Combine centralized and distance professional development forms as regulated in [1] [2] to ensure the effectiveness and requirements of regular professional development for teachers and administrators.
