Writing Process
Be able to write a composition ensuring the following steps: preparation before writing (determining the topic, purpose, collecting materials); brainstorming and outlining; writing; reviewing and editing, drawing lessons.
Writing Practice
- Be able to write a composition recounting a real event related to a character or historical event; the writing includes descriptive elements.
- Be able to write an expressive essay (about people or events).
- Initially be able to write a four-line or five-line poem; write a paragraph capturing feelings after reading a four-line or five-line poem.
- Initially be able to write an argumentative essay on a life issue, clearly presenting the issue and the writer's opinion (agree or oppose); providing clear reasoning and diverse evidence.
- Initially be able to write an analysis of character traits in a literary work.
- Initially be able to write an explanatory text about a rule or law in a game or activity.
- Be able to write a clearly, fully, and properly formatted report.
- Understand how to summarize a document of various lengths, ensuring the document's main content.
Thus, according to the above regulation, 7th-grade students must be able to write an expressive essay.
