What are the sample essays on a memorable experience with a loved one?

A memorable experience with a loved one is always a beautiful piece of memory in everyone's soul. It may be a simple yet profound story that leaves unforgettable emotions in our hearts.

Students can refer to the following sample essays on a memorable experience with a loved one:

Sample No. 1:

The writer Honore de Balzac once said: "A mother's heart is a deep abyss. In which you will always find forgiveness." His words remind me of an extremely memorable experience with my dear mother. Every time I recall that memory, I feel both embarrassed with myself and moved by my mother's generous and forgiving heart.

One winter day, Minh brought a very beautiful lego toy set to class, making me extremely excited. At home, I asked my mother to buy me the toy, but she disagreed with my request. Not owning that unique model made me feel regretful and disappointed. The next day, when entering my mother's room to get something, I stumbled upon a wallet with a lot of money on the table. Due to my intense desire to hold the model in my hands, I intended to steal my mother's money. Holding the money in my hand, I rushed to the toy store. After getting the toy, my happiness turned into anxiety and fear of being found out by my mother. Just as I returned home, my mother immediately asked me about the missing money. I mumbled a reply, trying to hide the toy behind me. Surely, my mother already knew I was the culprit. However, she didn't say anything, just quietly went into her room.

From that moment, my mother was completely silent. Fear overwhelmed my mind. That evening, I took the toy and came to my mother. I confessed everything and apologized. She smiled, looking at me affectionately. She said she was very pleased because I realized my wrongdoing by myself. Instead of punishing me, she promised to reward me with another toy for my honesty. I was deeply touched by my mother's compassion. It was her kindness and forgiveness that helped me realize my mistake and correct it promptly.

For me, my mother is like the sun shining on my path. Without her, I could not mature and grow. I know there are times I've made her sad, but I will try to be a good child to ease her mind.

Sample No. 2:

One early winter afternoon, I got an early break from a physical education class, allowing me to return home earlier than usual. That's how I had a wonderful memory with my father.

When I got home, my father was busy in the yard, preparing for something. When I asked, he said he was about to prepare the soil to plant some lettuce beds. So, I immediately asked if I could plant with him. To be honest, although my father plants vegetables every year, this was my first time planting vegetables with him. Following the detailed instruction of my "teacher" father, I used a small hoe to form straight rows on either side, creating raised beds. We dug parallel rows together. After finishing just one row, I felt back pain and aching hands. But looking at my father beside me, who had already finished a whole section, I realized how skillful he was. Seeing that, I couldn't stop; I knew I had to try harder.

Next, he taught me how to plant each young lettuce plant. First, create a hole in the soil with your finger, then lower the root into it, cover it, and compress it tightly. It seemed simple, but it was actually very challenging. It took me two spoilt plants before I successfully planted my first young lettuce. Seeing me blame myself, my father laughed and encouraged me to keep trying. He always does that. Whenever I feel sad or fail at something, he appears, cheering me on, giving me confidence and strength. My father is like a pillar in my mental world. Afterward, we continued planting more new vegetables. While planting, he shared stories of his childhood, how he knew how to herd buffaloes and cut grass in second grade. At that time, my grandmother's house was very poor, so the siblings had to glean sweet potatoes to have a full meal. Listening to his stories, I felt sorry for him and proud of my incredible father.

The vegetable planting day with my father wasn't merely a fun activity. More importantly, those were the moments when I could talk and confide more with him, helping me understand and feel closer to my father.

Sample No. 3:

At that time, my entire family went to visit my grandparents in the countryside. When my father took me to the river at the end of the village, he told me about his childhood swimming races with friends. Listening to his stories filled me with excitement, so I asked him to teach me how to swim.

My father's face lit up at my request, and he immediately led me to the shallow part of the river to begin the "lesson." First, he and I warmed up thoroughly. Every move I made was earnest, and my excitement and anticipation to enter the water grew. "Alright!" — that delightful signal from my father indicated it was time to enter the water. Overjoyed, I ran to the water.

However, all excitement vanished the moment the water reached my waist. Staring at the vast water, an irrational fear engulfed me. Larger and larger, this fear swallowed me, causing me to retreat to the riverbank. Suddenly, a warm hand on my shoulder steadied me. It was my father, standing behind me, looking at me with trust and love. Like a refreshing stream, it extinguished all my anxiety and restlessness. Following his eyes and encouragement, I moved forward again. The initial swimming moves were always difficult. But thanks to my father's firm hands, I gained confidence and motivation to keep practicing. One afternoon, two afternoons, then by the fourth afternoon, I was swimming independently without his support. The feeling when I completed my first solo swim is still vivid in my memory. It was a sense of freedom and overwhelming joy. It was incredibly wonderful. My father's smile that day was extraordinarily bright. Surely, he was very proud of me. I was as well. Learning to swim might not be challenging, but overcoming my fear and conquering it was such an amazing feat, wasn’t it?

Now, I can swim proficiently. What I enjoy most is swimming with my father in that hometown river. That feeling is incomparable to any swimming pool.
