One of the bad habits that we often encounter in life is laziness and complaining.

We can encounter this bad habit in anyone, at any age. The characteristic of these people is that whenever they face difficulties or barriers in life, they will complain about what they encounter, then continue to sit still, indifferent to everything. Not only that, but even small disadvantages or slightly complicated issues are enough to trigger these habits. Instead of standing up, analyzing the issue, finding solutions, and overcoming that difficulty, they choose to complain, grumble, holding themselves back and doing nothing.

Laziness and complaining is a bad habit that significantly affects people. It shows weakness in one's willpower and determination. It is also a way of avoiding, denying the current circumstance, and finding a reason for themselves to legitimize abandoning, backing down, and their failure. Consequently, people with this bad habit easily encounter failure and find it hard to achieve success and dreams in life. Because right from the start, a little challenge has already discouraged them. Then, they will remain stagnant or even step backwards. Just like a student finding math too difficult, seeing essays too lengthy, and then sits complaining about them, lazy to start. Gradually, they will become blurred in knowledge, scoring poorly on tests. But it's not just that. Individuals with the habit of laziness and complaining not only negatively affect themselves but also create negative impacts on the community. Those who complain and are lazy easily pass on that displeasure and discouragement to those around them. Furthermore, in a group with individuals with such bad habits, efficiency often gets dragged down. Just like a group of four people tasked to research the developmental stages of sprouts, but one always complains about the difficulty of growing sprouts. Then they don't want to participate in any stage, finding difficulty with any assigned task and not wanting to do it out of laziness. This reduces the group's work efficiency and lowers the collective spirit.

Therefore, we must seriously consider laziness and complaining as a human vice. Therefrom seeking ways to eliminate it from society, firstly starting from each individual. To break free from the stagnation zone of laziness, each person should begin with simple goals and things they love. They should also reward themselves with compliments and small gifts to encourage when achieving a certain goal. Furthermore, those around them, such as parents, teachers, and friends, should cooperate to help individuals with this bad habit overcome themselves. This could be through morale encouragement, heart-to-heart talks, or assigning tasks suitable to the person’s capacity. Avoid assigning tasks too difficult, far exceeding the doer's ability, causing them to be disheartened, and returning to the cycle of complaining and laziness, neglecting everything.

If laziness and complaining do not get promptly intervened and curbed, it will become a threat to the community and collective. Therefore, we should have a positive, healthy mindset and action, avoiding falling into this bad habit.
