What are the sample essays on feelings about an event that left a deep impression on you for 7th-grade students in Vietnam?

Events in life sometimes leave us with indelible impressions, which could be joy, emotion, or meaningful lessons.

Students can refer to the following sample essays on feelings about an event that left a deep impression on them:

Sample 1:

The first day of school is a day that surely none of us can forget. That day marked the event of each of us embarking on the path of education.

It is a day that I will never forget. That day, the autumn air was slightly chilly, with clouds floating lightly, signaling the arrival of the school opening day and the start of a new school year. I was filled with innocent imagination, with the mindset of a child about to face an important event.

At that time, being young, I didn’t quite grasp what a school opening day meant, nor did I know what day it was, but seeing the adults so concerned and busy, I somewhat realized there was something important.

Today, my grandmother would take me to school because my parents worked far away and couldn’t take me, but according to my grandmother, they were also very excited about this day. My hometown isn’t a city, nor a wealthy place, it's a rural water area full of rustic and simple charm.

In front of me was a large school gate. Around me were hundreds of other students with various emotions and thoughts. I observed the worried expressions on my friends' faces, including those who usually flew kites with me, and the considerate attitude of the adults like my grandmother.

This made me understand more about the significance of the day, but it also made me more anxious. Suddenly, there was a loud cry behind me; I immediately turned and pressed my face against my grandmother, overwhelmed with indescribable emotion.

Tears filled my throat. But remembering the comforting words of my parents and my grandmother's soothing, I bravely wiped away the tears and sweat and stood upright. Just then, a teacher approached me. Startled, I looked up, and she gently said, “Let me take you to your class. That's your class.”

Her warm, gentle, and sweet voice reminded me of my mother. I no longer felt afraid. She gently held my hand and led me into the class; I followed her, sensing the fragrance of her ao dai.

For me, without the first school day; the first time hearing the school drum and singing the national anthem under the national flag... what profound memories would I have with school and childhood? Those beautiful memories of the first school day have contributed to nurturing my poetic soul.

Sample 2:

Whenever I recall the mistake I made, I feel greatly sorry for my younger brother. Thanks to that mistake, I have learned to think, act wisely, and grow more mature.

Since my parents usually work late, I was assigned the task of picking up my little brother every afternoon. However, that day, because I was engrossed in playing, I forgot to pick him up. When I remembered, I hurried to the school only to find my brother standing alone, waiting for me. At that moment, he was sobbing, accusing me of neglect because I didn’t remember to pick him up. Yet, being a stubborn and rigid person, unwilling to admit my faults, I yelled back at him. I even got upset with him for showing such an attitude towards me.

In the days that followed, my brother and I didn’t talk. I still believed I was not wrong and felt no guilt or regret. However, after overhearing my brother confide in our mother, I realized my mistake. My negligence, indifference, and stubbornness had hurt him. At that moment, I felt deep regret and torment. Inside me felt a heavy, indescribable emotional state. Perhaps that is the feeling of someone who has made a mistake and realized their wrongs. Even now, when reminded of this, I still feel ashamed and disappointed in myself.

I understand that in life, everyone makes their own mistakes. Therefore, instead of constantly blaming oneself or burying oneself in negative emotions, people should learn to face mistakes and find ways to rectify them.

Sample 3:

One of the events that always leaves a profound impression on me is New Year’s Eve. Although there is Tet every year, welcoming New Year's Eve each year brings me truly excited and vibrant feelings at the time of welcoming a new year.

In my hometown, the New Year's Eve celebration is lively and joyful. Neighbors gather to make banh chung, and hold small parties to reflect on the past year with many emotions. Meanwhile, elders reminisce and chat about Tet and New Year’s Eve of the past. Contrary to the elders, we children still play and dance happily together. Especially, everyone counts every minute waiting to see fireworks. Meanwhile, parents are busy preparing the ancestral meal on the year's last day. Nevertheless, everyone is glowing and joyful to welcome the coming new year.

In that sacred moment, I had many intense emotions. Firstly, the deep excitement and joy each time is awaiting New Year's Eve. It's also the warmth and happiness when gathering with family to step into the new year. However, in that moment, I still felt a bit of sadness and regret for what I couldn’t accomplish in the old year. Nonetheless, while welcoming New Year's Eve, I also don’t forget to send hopes and wishes for a new year full of luck and happiness.

After all, still being a child, every Tet and spring arrival, welcoming New Year's Eve is what I look forward to and am most excited about. Because I know, New Year's Eve is a sacred moment for family reunions to celebrate the new year.
