What are the sample question papers for the V-SAT Exam 2025 in Vietnam?
In 2025, the National Examination and Quality Assessment Center will continue to cooperate with universities to organize the computer-based V-SAT university entrance assessment exam (V-SAT exam). The results of this exam are expected to be used for admission to nearly 20 universities.
The National Examination and Quality Assessment Center has just published sample question papers for 8 subjects in the V-SAT Exam 2025.

Unlike the previous two years, the sample question papers for the V-SAT Exam 2025 in Vietnam are more aligned with the competency assessment direction for high school students according to the 2018 General Education Program. The structure of the sample question papers for the V-SAT Exam 2025 in Vietnam is specified as follows:
- This question paper consists of 8 independent subjects corresponding to 7 subjects in the high school program, including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, geography, English, and literature. Candidates can choose at least 1 out of 8 subjects depending on their admission aspirations according to the disciplines of the recruiting institution.
- The question paper is conducted on a computer in an objective multiple-choice format. From 2025, the test will include the literature subject with a combination of objective multiple-choice and computer-based essay writing.
- The question paper is organized in a computer-based format for 90 minutes for the mathematics and literature subjects; 60 minutes for the remaining subjects. There are 4 types of questions in the question paper: true/false questions; objective multiple-choice questions with 4 options; matching questions; short answer or essay questions.
- For the true/false question format, each question includes 4 sub-questions. Correctly answering 1/4 sub-questions earns 1 point, 2/4 earns 2 points, 3/4 earns 3 points, and 4/4 earns 6 points.
- With the 4-option multiple-choice questions, each correct answer earns 6 points. For the matching question format, each question includes 4 sub-questions, correctly answering earns 6 points. For short-answer questions, each correct answer earns 6 points. For the script of the Literature subject, guidance on marking and answers shall be followed with a maximum score of 30/150 points.

Who will issue the Scheme for regulations on enrollment for full-time undergraduate programs in Vietnam?
Under Clause 1 Article 11 of the Regulations on enrollment for full-time undergraduate and college programs in Early Childhood Education is issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT:
- Educational institutions develop, publish, and implement an enrollment scheme to fulfill responsibilities and commitments to candidates, state management agencies, and society.
- The enrollment scheme must include sufficient information to support:
+ Candidates in selecting schools, training majors, programs, and enrollment methods suited to their capabilities, interests, and personal conditions; preparing conditions to participate in the enrollment process and following the enrollment plan of the educational institution;
+ State management agencies and society shall supervise compliance with legal regulations and commitments to learners of the educational institution in the enrollment and training process.
When may successful candidates in Vietnam reserve their results?
According to Article 10 of the Regulations on enrollment for full-time undergraduate and college programs in Early Childhood Education is issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT:
Reserve the matriculation results
1. Candidates who have received a matriculation notice may reserve their matriculation results in the following cases:
a) Engaging in military service or volunteering immediately in the year of matriculation as per the decision or order of the competent authority;
b) Suffering from a severe illness or serious accident that prevents timely enrollment, with medical documentation and certification from the competent health authority.
2. Candidates under the provision of Clause 1 must submit a reserve request with supporting documents to the educational institution. The maximum reserve period is determined by the educational institution, but it is not less than 3 years for those stipulated in Point a, Clause 1 of this Article.
3. As soon as they meet the conditions to return to school, those who have reserved their matriculation results must complete the school admission procedures as per the educational institution's regulations, providing proof of completed duties or recovery from treatment. In cases stipulated in Clause 1 of this Article with a reserver period of 3 years or more, the educational institution shall consider introducing the candidate to preliminary pre-university classes for review before official school admission.
Thus, candidates who have received a matriculation notice may reserve their matriculation results in the following cases:
- Engaging in military service or volunteering immediately in the year of matriculation as per the decision or order of the competent authority;
- Suffering from a severe illness or serious accident that prevents timely enrollment, with medical documentation and certification from the competent health authority.
