In Vietnam, which educational institutions must have the five teachings of Uncle Ho in classrooms?
According to Directive 1537/CT-BGDDT in 2014, the Minister of Education and Training requires:
3. Build and implement codes of conduct in schools, specifically stipulating appropriate, friendly relationships, and interactions between staff, educators, and students.
Create favorable conditions in all aspects to maintain and ensure the effectiveness of extracurricular collective activities with community-social characteristics, allowing students to engage in practical experiences, contributing to character education, life skills, and healthy aesthetic orientation for students.
4. Educational institutions from preschool to upper secondary school regularly educate students to follow the Five Teachings of Uncle Ho; in all classrooms, the Five Teachings must be placed in a dignified position to remind students to understand, remember, and follow.
Maintain regular morning exercise and midday exercise on all formal school days; use existing or newly compiled morning and midday exercise routines suitable for the students' age.
Thus, educational institutions from preschool to upper secondary school must have the Five Teachings of Uncle Ho prominently displayed in all classrooms.
Are students in reform schools in Vietnam required to follow the five teachings of Uncle Ho?
According to clause 5, Article 1 of the Internal Regulations of Reform Schools issued with Circular 47/2022/TT-BCA, the following is stipulated:

5. Regarding cultural studies, labor, vocational training, participation in cultural, artistic, physical, sports, and recreational activities
a) Perform well the "five teachings of Uncle Ho for young pioneers";
b) Actively, voluntarily, diligently, and seriously participate in cultural studies, labor, vocational training, and cultural, artistic, physical, sports, and recreational activities organized by the reform school;
c) Strictly observe discipline, safety, labor hygiene;
d) Labor and vocational tools must be stored in the designated place after use.
6. Regarding the protection and maintenance of assets
a) Protect and maintain the assets of the reform school, the community, individuals, and others;
b) Upon completion of the term at the reform school, students must return to the school the tools and assets assigned for management;
c) If causing damage to school or others' assets, students will be handled according to the extent of damage under legal regulations.
Thus, performing well the five teachings of Uncle Ho for young pioneers is one of the duties students at reform schools.
