In accordance with the City's People's Committee plan to organize the Online Legal Knowledge Competition for Youth Union members and students in Can Tho City in 2024, the Competition Organizing Committee issues the Contest Rules 1677/TL-BTC in 2024 Download. The rules for the Online Legal Knowledge Competition for Youth Union members and students are as follows:

*CONTENT AND PARTICIPANTS

(1) Competition Content

The competition content relates to the following legal documents: Ciminal Code 2015; Civil Code 2015; Youth Law 2020; Education Law 2019; Law on Drug Prevention and Control 2021; Cybersecurity Law 2018; Gender Equality Law 2006; Law on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Alcohol 2019; Law on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Tobacco 2012; Traffic safety regulations; Knowledge of laws on school violence prevention, and related documents.

(2) Participants

Youth Union members (including individuals participating in Youth Union activities); students of secondary schools, high schools; students of universities, colleges, vocational schools; learners at continuing education centers in Can Tho City.

*COMPETITION TIMELINE AND SUMMARY

(1) Competition Timeline

The competition will be launched from 14:00 on August 1, 2024, to 17:00 on October 15, 2024.

(2) Summary of the Competition

The Organizing Committee plans to conclude and award the competition at the Celebration of Vietnam Law Day in 2024 (November 9).

*COMPETITION FORMAT

(1) Registration Method

- The competition is organized online. Participants will take the exam directly on computers or other electronic devices with internet connection (tablets, smartphones...) by responding to multiple-choice questions using pre-designed software.- Contestants register directly on the website:

timhieuphapluathssv.cantho.gov.vn or by scanning the QR code with a smartphone to access the competition website.

- To be eligible to compete, contestants must provide complete and accurate information as guided. The registration information will be one of the conditions for the Organizing Committee to consider and award prizes.- The Organizing Committee will not recognize results for any contestant with information that is incorrect or incomplete compared to reality.

(2) Contest Method and Prize Determination

- Contest Method

+ Individual participants (hereinafter referred to as contestants) will answer 20 multiple-choice questions randomly selected by the system from the question bank of the Organizing Committee.

Contestants answer questions by choosing the most correct and complete option among 4 options for each question.

+ Each test takes a maximum of 30 minutes. When the time is up, the system will automatically end the test; contestants may complete the test earlier than the allocated time.

+ Each contestant can take up to 3 attempts, and the highest score will be the final result.

+ The test is considered valid only when the contestant answers all 20 multiple-choice questions and provides all required information.

- Prize Determination Method

+ The conditions for winning prizes are based on the correct answers. The Organizing Committee will consider the number of correct answers and the completion time to award prizes according to the prize structure.

+ In cases where two or more tests have the same number of correct answers and the same completion time, the Organizing Committee will consider the test submitted earliest and with the fewest attempts to award prizes accordingly.

+ Other cases (if any) will be decided by the Organizing Committee.

*PRIZE STRUCTURE

(1) Individual Prizes (includes 16 prizes)

- 01 first prize: Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the City People's Committee and a monetary award of 4,000,000 VND.

- 02 second prizes: Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the City People's Committee and a monetary award of 2,500,000 VND each.

- 03 third prizes: Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the City People's Committee and a monetary award of 1,500,000 VND each.- 10 consolation prizes: Certificate of Commendation from the Organizing Committee with a monetary award of 1,000,000 VND each.

(2) Additional Prizes (includes 03 prizes)

Rewards for 03 collectives actively participating in the competition; Certificate of Commendation from the Organizing Committee with a monetary award of 700,000 VND each.

What is the age range for secondary and high school students participating in the 2024 Online Legal Knowledge Competition?

According to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 28 of the Education Law 2019:

Levels and age ranges in general education

1. The levels and age ranges in general education are specified as follows:

a) Primary education lasts for 5 years, from grade one to the end of grade five. The age of students entering grade one is 6 years old, calculated by year;

b) Secondary education lasts for 4 years, from grade six to the end of grade nine. Students entering grade six must complete the primary education program. The age of students entering grade six is 11 years old, calculated by year;

c) High school education lasts for 3 years, from grade ten to the end of grade twelve. Students entering grade ten must have a secondary school diploma. The age of students entering grade ten is 15 years old, calculated by year.
