Purpose and Requirements
1. Purpose
a) Contribute to educating ethics, lifestyles, cultural values, and ethical standards; form good habits and consciousness to complete the students' personality;
b) Create conditions for students to interact, learn, and absorb the cultural values of different regions and the cultural essence of humanity; enhance spiritual life and the ability to appreciate culture and art, contributing to the construction of a healthy cultural environment in educational institutions;
c) Contribute to adjusting deviant behaviors and cultural non-standard behaviors of all members in educational institutions; prevent acts of violence, social evils, actions contrary to Vietnamese traditions and customs.
2. Requirements
a) Cultural activities must be organized and conducted regularly; ensure the participation of students in cultural activities suitable to their needs for improving comprehensive education quality;
b) Cultural activities should be associated with national significant events, historical events, the traditions of the school, the locality, and other activities as prescribed by the education sector.
The requirements for organizing cultural activities for students in universities are as follows:

What are contents of cultural activities for students in universities in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 5 of Circular 26/2017/TT-BGDDT, the contents of cultural activities for students in universities include:
- Propagating the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party, the laws of the State on culture; praising the achievements of the Vietnamese revolution; educating the good traditions of the nation, cultural values, social ethical standards, human morality; awareness of responsibility, civic obligations; patriotism, national pride, ethics, and the cultural lifestyle of Vietnamese people.
- Praising the homeland, country, and people of Vietnam; celebrating and honoring the exemplary role models and positive contributions in the education sector.
- Developing cultural forms and the humanistic values of Vietnamese culture.
- Reflecting the aspirations, sentiments, and responsibilities of the youth towards themselves, family, school, homeland, and country; meeting the healthy needs and interests of students.
- Criticizing deviant and negative behaviors in human relationships, with the environment and cultural heritage of Vietnam and humanity; condemning deviant, indulgent behaviors; and preventing social evils, acts of violence, and gender inequality in schools.
Additionally, the funding for organizing cultural activities for students is based on Article 12 of Circular 26/2017/TT-BGDDT as follows:

2. Sponsorship and support from organizations and individuals both domestically and internationally as per legal provisions.
3. Other legitimate financial sources of the educational institution (if any).
