+ The materials must be appropriate for the targets, contents, methods, forms of organizing educational activities specified in the preschool education program; satisfy requirements for integration, innovation of methods and organization of activities including raising, care, education of children in preschool education institutions;
+ The terminologies, concepts, definitions, events and pictures must be accurate, objective and consistent; the pictures, events and data must have specific references;
+ The design of materials must be balanced and harmonious; the systems of symbols, fonts, font sizes, pictures, photos, maps and drawings must be appropriate for the education contents and the law of Vietnam.

What are the standards for individuals drafting materials used in preschools in Vietnam?
Under Clause 1, Article 4 of Circular 30/2021/TT-BGDDT, the provisions for drafting materials are as follows:

1. Standards for drafting organizations and individuals
a) Drafting organizations shall be established in accordance with the law of Vietnam, licensed for management, business or operation in the field of education; have drafting staff that satisfies the requirements specified in Point b Clause 1 of this Article;
b) Drafting individuals shall have at least bachelor's degrees in disciplines that are appropriate for the materials being drafted; have at least 5 years' experience in the disciplines that are appropriate for the contents of the material; be acquainted with preschool education; have a highly developed moral sense.

2. Ensure the feasibility, understandability and practicality in improvement of quality of care and education of children.
3. Ensure transparency and conformity with law.
4. Materials shall be drafted in accordance with Article 3 and Article 4 of this Circular.
5. Materials for preschool teachers and manager shall be appraised and approved by competent authorities; learning materials that are publications for children shall comply with applicable regulations on selection of toys and learning materials for use in preschool education institutions.
