When will National Economics University in Vietnam announce the selected students for the first admission of 2024?

In Section 3 of the Implementation Plan for University Admissions and Preschool Education College Admissions in 2024 issued with Decision 1139/QD-BGDDT 2024:

General Requirements for University Admissions in Vietnam

According to Article 3 of the Regulation on University Admission and Preschool Education College Admission issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the general requirements for university admissions include:

- The training institution exercises autonomy and accountability for its admissions, ensuring compliance with the law and responsibility before the law.

- Each training institution undertakes all necessary measures to facilitate and provide equal opportunities for all candidates, selecting candidates whose aspirations and abilities are most aligned with the program and major requirements.

- Training institutions must closely coordinate under the support and supervision of the Ministry of Education and Training to ensure consistency, synchronization, and interconnection within the system; this helps enhance the quality and effectiveness of admissions at each institution and the entire system.

Under what conditions can university admission results in Vietnam be deferred?

According to Article 10 of the Regulation on University Admission and Preschool Education College Admission issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT:

Deferred Admission Results

1. Applicants who have received admission notices are eligible for deferred admission in the following cases:

a) Military service or youth volunteer duty immediately in the year of admission based on decisions or orders from competent authorities;

b) Severe illness or serious accident preventing timely enrollment, with medical records and certification from authorized healthcare institutions.

2. Applicants in the cases specified in paragraph 1 must submit a deferral request along with supporting documents to the training institution. The maximum deferral period is determined by the training institution but shall not be less than 3 years for those specified in point a, paragraph 1 of this Article.

3. Once eligible to resume studies, the deferred applicants must complete the necessary enrollment procedures as required by the training institution, including proof of completion of the duty or recovered treatment. In cases where the deferral period exceeds 3 years, the institution may consider referring the applicant to preparatory courses before formal enrollment.

Thus, there are 02 cases where individuals with university admission results are eligible for deferred admission:

- Individuals admitted who are called for military service or youth volunteer duty immediately in the year of admission;

- Individuals admitted who suffer from severe illness or serious accident preventing timely enrollment, with medical records and certification from authorized healthcare institutions.
