How to ensure the safety of Toys Used in Kindergartens in Vietnam?
According to Article 11 Circular 47/2020/TT-BGDDT, the process of selecting toys and learning materials in kindergartens is regulated as follows:
[1] Kindergarten education institutions, based on the requirements and principles of selecting toys and learning materials; school year implementation plans; annual thematic implementation plans; the practical activities of nurturing, caring for, and educating children, review and classify the existing toys and learning materials.
Based on the list of toys and learning materials proposed by teachers and management staff, the head of the kindergarten education institution organizes the Selection Council for toys and learning materials.
The list of toys and learning materials proposed for selection must be signed by the team/group leader and representatives of teachers from groups/classes.
[2] The Council holds a meeting to discuss and evaluate the toys and learning materials based on the proposed list.
The list of toys and learning materials selected must be approved by more than 1/2 (one-half) of the Council members.
The Council consolidates the selected toys and learning materials into a report, signed by the Council members.
[3] The Council proposes to the head of the kindergarten education institution the list of toys and learning materials that have been selected by the Council for use in the kindergarten education institution.
[4] Based on the Council’s proposal, the head of the kindergarten education institution approves the list of toys and learning materials to be used in the kindergarten education institution; makes a procurement plan, proposes to the higher-level management agency; and self-makes the toys and learning materials.
How to Coordinate Between Kindergartens and Families to Ensure Children's Safety in Vietnam?
According to Article 6 Circular 45/2021/TT-BGDDT, the coordination to ensure children’s safety between kindergarten education institutions, families, and the community shall be carried out as follows:
- Mobilize the participation of families and the community in activities to build safe schools, and prevent accidents and injuries in kindergarten education institutions.
- Coordinate between the school, families, and the community to review and evaluate the criteria for safe schools and accident prevention; actively coordinate to address risk factors causing unsafe conditions; mobilize the participation of relevant units in quality inspection of works and facilities as per regulations.
- Coordinate with local departments and agencies in guiding, inspecting, and supervising kindergarten education institutions in implementing regulations related to building safe schools and preventing accidents and injuries.
