On the afternoon of August 17, the Admission Council of Hong Bang International University (HIU) met and announced the official admission scores for admission based on the results of the 2024 High School Graduation Examination.

What is the deadline for admitted candidates to complete the online enrollment confirmation for first admission on the System in Vietnam?

Based on Subsection 8 of Section 1 of Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024:

8. Enrollment Confirmation:

- For candidates admitted under direct admission, from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 PM on July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm their enrollment on the System (candidates who have confirmed enrollment will not continue to register for additional preferences, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows not enrolling). In cases where enrollment is not yet confirmed, candidates can continue to register for additional preferences on the System or the national public service portal like other candidates and confirm their enrollment according to the shared schedule if admitted;

- By 5:00 PM on August 27, 2024, all admitted candidates must complete their online enrollment confirmation for the first round on the System.

9. From August 28, 2024, to December 2024, candidates wishing to apply for additional admission rounds of the training institutions should follow the additional enrollment plans posted on the training institutions' admission information sites (if the institutions enroll additionally). Candidates who have been admitted and confirmed enrollment will not be considered for additional rounds, except in cases where the head of the training institution allows not enrolling.

10. Candidates must submit admission proof to the training institutions (according to the training institutions' guidelines on time and location). Candidates applying for majors requiring aptitude tests who use aptitude test scores from other training institutions must contact the training institutions to register, take tests, or submit aptitude test scores.

The deadline for admitted candidates to complete the online enrollment confirmation for the first admission on the System is by 5:00 PM on August 27, 2024.

What are the basic principles in admissions for 2024 in Vietnam?

Based on Article 4 of the Regulation on University and College Admissions for Preschool Education issued along with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the basic principles in admissions for 2024 are as follows:

- Fairness to Candidates

+ Regarding information provision: Each interested candidate is provided with full, clear, reliable, consistent, and timely information to make appropriate decisions and best prepare for admissions;

+ Regarding admission opportunities: No candidate shall lose the opportunity to apply due to regulations unrelated to qualifications or abilities (except for specific regulations by the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense in national defense and security fields) or due to burdensome and costly admission procedures;

+ Regarding ability assessment: Candidates must be objectively, fairly, and reliably assessed on academic ability and potential for success, meeting the requirements of the programs and fields of study;

+ Regarding admission opportunities: Candidates must be given the highest opportunity for admission and the right to determine the priority of their preferences among eligible programs and fields of study;

+ Regarding fulfilling commitments: Training institutions must fulfill their commitments to candidates; provide advice, support, and resolve complaints, protecting candidates' legitimate rights in cases of risk.

- Equality Between Training Institutions

+ Regarding cooperation: Training institutions shall equally cooperate to improve the quality and efficiency of admissions while benefiting candidates the most;

+ Regarding competition: Training institutions shall honestly, fairly, and healthily compete in admissions according to the legal regulations on competition.

- Transparency to Society

+ Regarding information transparency: Training institutions must fully, clearly, and timely disclose admission information through suitable media for society and state management agencies to monitor;

+ Regarding accountability: Training institutions must report upon request by state management agencies and account to society through appropriate forms regarding major issues causing public concern.
