a) Organize for students and their families to sign a commitment to comply with legal regulations on road traffic order and safety, including the following contents: students must not operate motorcycles when they do not meet the conditions as regulated, must not operate mopeds before completing the program on safe moped driving skills; families should not allow students to operate vehicles when they do not meet the conditions as prescribed by law;

b) Coordinate with the parent representative board to regularly remind students to adhere to the signed commitment and to frequently communicate and obtain information from students' families regarding their compliance with road traffic law while participating in traffic;

c) Incorporate compliance with legal regulations on road traffic order and safety as one of the criteria for assessing and categorizing students' conduct.

What are the educational contents of laws on road traffic order and safety in educational institutions in Vietnam?

According to Article 4 of Decree 151/2024/ND-CP regulating the educational contents of laws on road traffic order and safety in educational institutions in Vietnam:

(1) Educational contents of laws on road traffic order and safety for children in preschool institutions include:

- Recognizing types of road vehicles;

- Recognizing traffic signal lights, the meaning of signal lights, and common road signs;

- Safety when walking and on-road vehicles;

- Wearing helmets correctly;

- Safe playgrounds;

- Dangers and consequences of not complying with road traffic safety regulations.

(2) Educational contents of laws on road traffic order and safety for primary school students include:

- Recognizing the commands of traffic controllers; traffic signal lights; common road signs;

- Some common road traffic rules; recognizing the necessity to comply with road traffic rules;

- Safe crossing of roads;

- Choosing and wearing helmets correctly;

- Safely getting on and off bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles;

- Becoming familiar with bicycles and learning how to operatea bicycle safely;

- Some skills to prevent road traffic accidents.

(3) Educational contents of laws on road traffic order and safety for lower secondary school students include:

- Traffic road rules;

- Recognizing and complying with road signals;

- Wearing standard helmets and fastening properly when participating in road traffic;

- Safety when sitting on motor vehicles;

- Safe operation of bicycles and electric bicycles;

- Risk prevention, consequences of traffic accidents and handling traffic incidents.

(4) Educational contents of laws on road traffic order and safety for upper secondary school students and vocational education students include:

- Road traffic rules; road signals; speed and safe distance of motorized vehicles;

- Prediction and prevention of danger;

- Safe operation of motorbikes.

What are the regulations on propagation, dissemination and education of road traffic law in Vietnam?

According to Article 7 of the Law on Road Traffic 2008, the regulations on propagation, dissemination and education of road traffic law in Vietnam are as follows:

- Information and propaganda agencies shall regularly organize road traffic law propagation and dissemination among the entire population.

- People’s Committees at all levels shall, within the scope of their tasks and powers, organize road traffic law propaganda, dissemination and education in their localities and apply forms of propaganda and dissemination suitable to ethnic minority people.

- Education and training state management agencies shall include the road traffic law in the teaching programs at schools and other educational establishments as suitable to each branch and each level of education.

- Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations shall coordinate with concerned agencies and local administrations in propagating and mobilizing the people to observe the road traffic law.

- Agencies and organizations shall organize road traffic law propagation and dissemination among officials, soldiers, civil servants, public employees and other laborers under their management.

Family members shall propagate, educate and remind other members to observe the road traffic law.
