Then the old man closed his eyes, mumbled for a while, and said, "I see your golden axe at the bottom of the river." The lumberjack was overjoyed but then realized it wasn't right, so he shook his head: "No, my axe is made of iron." The old man closed his eyes again and said, "Then I see your silver axe." The lumberjack still shook his head: "No, it's not."

The old man looked at the lumberjack and smiled: "I know, your axe is made of iron. I will help you find it." Saying that, the old man went into the river and after a while, he brought up an iron axe and handed it to the lumberjack. The lumberjack happily took the axe and thanked the old man profusely.

From this story, I learned that honest people will always be rewarded. No matter what difficulties we face, we should not lie or be greedy. The story also teaches us about kindness and mutual help."

Method 2 (creatively written from a student’s perspective in the first person)

That day, I was working by the river when unfortunately my axe fell into the water. I was very sad, crying because the axe was my companion, helping me make a living. Suddenly, a kind old man walked by, saw me upset, and asked about it. I told him everything. The old man said he would help me find the axe. I didn’t really believe him but followed the old man to the river.

The old man closed his eyes, mumbled for a while, and said he found my golden axe in the river. I shook my head because my axe was made of iron. Under Article 1 of Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT of 2024, the schedule for students' 1st-semester exams in the academic year 2024 - 2025 is as follows:

Issuance of the framework for the 2024-2025 academic year plan for preschool, general education, and continuing education nationwide:

1. The earliest school opening date is set 1 week before the official commencement ceremony. For first graders, the earliest start date is 2 weeks prior to the commencement ceremony.

2. The commencement ceremony is organized on September 05, 2024.

3. The first semester ends before January 18, 2025, and the school year is completed before May 31, 2025.

4. The recognition of completion of primary education and graduation from lower secondary education is conducted before June 30, 2025.

5. Enrollment for the first classes of all educational levels is completed before July 31, 2025.

6. The national high school exam 2025 is scheduled to take place on June 26 and June 27, 2025.

7. Other national-level exams are organized as per the Ministry of Education and Training’s guidelines and regulations.

Under the above regulation, the first semester ends before January 18, 2025, and the school year is completed before May 31, 2025.

Thus, according to the above regulations, the recognition of completion of primary education and graduation from lower secondary education is conducted before June 30, 2025.

What is the educational plan for the 2024-2025 academic year concerning the study period of primary school students in Vietnam?

Under Section 4 of the General Education Program issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the educational plan for the academic year 2024 - 2025 regarding the study period of students at different levels is as follows:

The general education program is divided into two phases:

The basic education phase (grades 1 to 9) and the career-oriented education phase (grades 10 to 12).

The system of subjects and educational activities of the general education program consists of compulsory subjects and educational activities, elective subjects according to career orientation (shortened as elective subjects), and optional subjects.

The real learning time in one academic year is approximately 35 weeks. Educational institutions can organize learning 1 session/day or 2 sessions/day.

Educational institutions organizing 1 session/day and 2 sessions/day must implement the mandatory unified educational content for all educational institutions nationwide.

(1). Basic education phase

- Primary level

Teaching is conducted 2 sessions/day, with no more than 7 periods per day; each period is 35 minutes. Educational institutions not meeting the conditions for 2 sessions/day will follow the educational plan as guided by the Ministry of Education and Training.

- Lower secondary level

Teaching is conducted 1 session/day, with no more than 5 periods per session; each period is 45 minutes. Secondary schools meeting the conditions are encouraged to conduct 2 sessions/day as guided by the Ministry of Education and Training.

(2). Career-oriented education phase (upper secondary level)

Teaching is conducted 1 session/day, with no more than 5 periods per session; each period is 45 minutes. High schools meeting the conditions are encouraged to conduct 2 sessions/day as guided by the Ministry of Education and Training.
