How many days off do preschool children in Vietnam get during the Mid-Autumn Festival?

Currently, there is no specific regulation regarding school holidays for students during the Mid-Autumn Festival, including preschool children.

Furthermore, according to Article 112 of the Labor Code 2019 regarding holidays:

Holidays

1. Employees are entitled to fully paid days off on the following public holidays and New Year’s holidays:

a) Gregorian New Year: 01 day (January 1 of the Gregorian calendar);

b) Lunar New Year: 05 days;

c) Victory Day: 01 day (April 30 of the Gregorian calendar);

d) International Labor Day: 01 day (May 1 of the Gregorian calendar);

dd) National Day: 02 days (September 2 of the Gregorian calendar and one day immediately before or after);

e) Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day: 01 day (March 10 of the Lunar calendar).

2. Foreign employees working in Vietnam, apart from the holidays prescribed in Clause 1 of this Article, are also entitled to one traditional holiday and one National Day of their respective countries.

3. Annually, based on practical conditions, the Prime Minister of Vietnam decides specific holidays prescribed in Clauses b and dd of Clause 1 of this Article.

Employees are entitled to fully paid days off on the following holidays and New Year's holidays:

- Gregorian New Year: 01 day (January 1 of the Gregorian calendar);

- Lunar New Year: 05 days;

- Victory Day: 01 day (April 30 of the Gregorian calendar);

- International Labor Day: 01 day (May 1 of the Gregorian calendar);

- National Day: 02 days (September 2 of the Gregorian calendar and one day immediately before or after);

- Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day: 01 day (March 10 of the Lunar calendar).

Therefore, Mid-Autumn Festival is not among the holidays for which employees are entitled to a day off.

Students typically get days off according to the teacher's schedule, and based on the aforementioned regulations, teachers do not get a day off for the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024.
