- Participating in collective activities of the school, class, Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, and Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; helping family, participating in labor and social activities, environmental protection activities, and obeying traffic safety regulations.
- Safeguarding and protecting school property and public places; contributing to building, protecting, and promoting the school's traditions.
What are rights of upper secondary school of students in Vietnam?
Pursuant to Article 35 of the Charter of Lower Secondary Schools, Upper Secondary Schools, and Schools with Multiple Levels issued with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT, the rights of upper secondary school students include:
- Being equal in access to comprehensive education, guaranteed conditions of time, facilities, hygiene, and safety to study in class and self-study at home; being provided with information about their learning and training; using equipment and facilities for educational, cultural, and sports activities at school as prescribed.
- Being respected and protected, treated equally and democratically, having the right to file complaints with the school and educational management authorities about decisions concerning themselves; transferring to another school for justifiable reasons under current regulations; studying ahead of schedule, skipping grades, studying at an older age according to Article 33 of the Charter issued with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT.
- Participating in activities to develop talents in subjects, sports, and arts organized by the school if eligible.
- Receiving scholarships or other forms of support according to regulations for students entitled to social policies, students facing life difficulties, and students with special abilities.
- Transferring to another school if eligible under the regulations; the transfer procedures are as specified by the Minister of Education and Training.
- Enjoying other rights as provided by law.

Upper secondary school students must exhibit behavior, language, and conduct appropriate for students, characterized by respectfulness, politeness, friendliness, cultural propriety, and suitability with the ethics and lifestyle of upper secondary school students.
Additionally, upper secondary school students must wear neat, clean, and tidy attire appropriate for their age, conducive to learning and activities at school.
Depending on each school's conditions, the principal may decide to have students wear uniforms if agreed upon by the school and the school's Parent Representative Board.
