Guidelines for admission confirmation based on Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH 2024 are as follows:

- For candidates admitted under direct admission criteria, from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 PM, July 31, 2024, candidates can confirm their admission on the System (candidates who have confirmed their admission will not be allowed to continue registering for admission options, except in cases where the head of educational institutions allows them not to enroll).

In case of not confirming enrollment, candidates can continue to register admission options on the System or the National Public Service Portal like other candidates for the educational institutions to review; if admitted, candidates will confirm their enrollment according to the general schedule;

- No later than 5:00 PM, August 27, 2024, all admitted candidates must complete the first round of online enrollment confirmation on the System.

Thus, according to the above regulations, admitted candidates will confirm their first-round enrollment from July 22, 2024, to 5:00 PM, July 31, 2024, for candidates admitted under direct admission criteria.

Based on Article 21 of the University Admission and Preschool Teacher College Admission Regulations issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the regulations on admission confirmation for university admission 2024 are as follows:

- The training institution sends admission letters to admitted candidates, specifying the necessary procedures for candidates upon admission and the admission method.

- Candidates confirm their admission online on the system before enrolling at the training institution.

- For candidates who do not confirm their admission within the specified time:

+ If without a legitimate reason, it is considered that the candidate refuses to enroll and the training institution has the right not to admit;

+ If due to illness or accident, with a district-level hospital's certification or higher, or due to natural disasters with the district-level People's Committee certification or higher, the training institution will consider and decide whether to admit the candidate or to retain the admission result for future enrollment;

+ If due to mistakes or misunderstandings caused by the admission officers or the candidates themselves, the training institution will proactively cooperate with related individuals and organizations to review evidence and decide whether to admit the candidate or to retain the admission result for future enrollment.

- Candidates who have confirmed their admission at one training institution are not allowed to participate in admission at other institutions or additional admissions, except when permitted by the training institution.

What are grounds for universities in Vietnam conduct additional admissions?

Based on Article 22 of the University Admission and Preschool Teacher College Admission Regulations issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the regulations on admission confirmation for university admission in 2024 are as follows:

Organizing Registrations and Admissions for Supplementary Rounds

1. Based on admission quotas and the number of admitted candidates who have confirmed their enrollment in sectors and programs, the admission council of the training institution will review and decide on additional admissions. The training institution will announce the admission plan, admission method, and registration form for supplementary rounds; the admission criteria for sectors and programs according to each admission method shall not be lower than the criteria of the previous round.

2. Candidates who have not been admitted or those admitted but have not confirmed enrollment anywhere can register for supplementary rounds according to the plan and guidelines of the training institution.

3. At the end of each admission round, the training institution will announce on their website the admission scores (and additional conditions, criteria if any) for sectors and programs according to the admission methods; organize for candidates to check their individual admission results; send admission letters and guidelines for admitted candidates to enroll.
