Currently, there are no specific regulations concerning the provision of a day off for students or preschool children during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Furthermore, based on Article 112 of the Labor Code 2019 regarding holidays:
Holidays
1. Employees are entitled to fully paid days off during the following holidays:
a) New Year's Day: 01 day (January 1 of the Gregorian calendar);
b) Lunar New Year: 05 days;
c) Victory Day: 01 day (April 30 of the Gregorian calendar);
d) International Labor Day: 01 day (May 1 of the Gregorian calendar);
e) National Day: 02 days (September 2 of the Gregorian calendar and 01 adjacent day before or after);
f) Hung Kings' Death Anniversary: 01 day (March 10 of the lunar calendar).
2. Foreign employees working in Vietnam, in addition to the holidays mentioned in Clause 1 of this Article, shall also be entitled to one traditional holiday and one national day of their respective countries.
3. Annually, based on actual conditions, the Prime Minister of Vietnam decides specifically on the holidays mentioned in points b and e of Clause 1 of this Article.
Teachers are entitled to fully paid days off during the following holidays:
- New Year's Day: 01 day (January 1 of the Gregorian calendar);

- International Labor Day: 01 day (May 1 of the Gregorian calendar);

Thus, the Mid-Autumn Festival does not fall under the holidays for which teachers are entitled to leave.

Therefore, on this day, students in general and preschool children specifically will not have a day off from school during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
