When conducting admissions for studying abroad under state budget scholarships managed by the Ministry of Education and Training, one of the following methods is executed:

- Selection;

Based on Article 8 of the Regulations on Studying Abroad Admissions issued together with Circular 06/2016/TT-BGDDT, the announcement of admissions is stipulated as follows:

Admission Announcement

1. Announcements for studying abroad admissions are sent to relevant agencies, ministries, localities depending on the requirements and appropriateness of the scholarship program; and publicly posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and Training at www.moet.gov.vn and the website of the admission unit. Announcements posted on these websites hold the same legal value as official documents.

2. The content of the admission announcement includes: the country of study, level of education, admission methods, number of scholarships, criteria for each level, major (if any), scholarship policies, study duration, eligible candidates, conditions, application documents, and application deadline.

According to the above regulations, announcements for studying abroad admissions are sent to relevant agencies, ministries, localities depending on the requirements and appropriateness of the scholarship program.

Simultaneously, they are publicly posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and Training at www.moet.gov.vn and the website of the admission unit. Announcements posted on these websites hold the same legal value as official documents.

What are the selection criteria for candidates studying abroad in vietnam?

Based on Article 7 of the Regulations on Studying Abroad Admissions issued together with Circular 06/2016/TT-BGDDT, the selection criteria for candidates are stipulated as follows:

- Based on the specific regulations of each scholarship program and the provisions of Clause 2 of this Article, the selection committee will agree with the admission unit and the relevant units to define the selection criteria and the order of priority of these criteria.

- The selection criteria include the following contents:

+ Achievements, awards in education, research, work (if any);

+ Academic results of the previously graduated level;

+ Foreign language scores (as specifically regulated by the scholarship program);

+ Evaluation and priority order recommended by the nominating agency (if any);

+ Duration of work experience (if any);

+ Examination results (if any);

+ Other criteria and priority rules as stipulated by each scholarship program.

Based on the specific regulations of each scholarship program and the selection criteria, the selection committee will agree with the admission unit and the relevant units to define the selection criteria and the order of priority of these criteria.

*Note: These regulations do not apply to studying abroad admissions under projects approved by the Government of Vietnam or the Prime Minister of Vietnam and already have detailed guidance documents for the implementation and regulations of the admission process.

Based on Article 13 of the Regulations on Studying Abroad Admissions issued together with Circular 06/2016/TT-BGDDT, the following procedures are stipulated:

The admission unit will notify the candidates selected by the Ministry of Education and Training through one or a combination of the following methods:

- Posting information on the website of the Ministry of Education and Training or the website of the admission unit.

- Sending notifications via postal mail.

- Sending notifications through the candidate's personal email.

- Announcing on the admission system of the Department of International Education at https://tuyensinh.vied.vn.

- Other forms as stipulated by the scholarship program.

Thus, after the selection results, the admission unit will notify the candidates on the system of the Department of International Education at https://tuyensinh.vied.vn.
