What is the formula for calculating absorbed heat (t2) in Vietnam?

Absorbed heat is the portion of heat energy that an object gains during the heat transfer process. In other words, when an object comes into contact with another object at a higher temperature, it receives additional thermal energy, causing its temperature to rise. The additional thermal energy the object receives is the absorbed heat.

*Students can refer to the formula for calculating absorbed heat below:

What is the formula for calculating absorbed heat (t2) in Vietnam?

In the formula for calculating absorbed heat:

Q = m.c.(t2 - t1)

Q: Is the absorbed heat (commonly measured in Joules, symbol J).

m: Is the mass of the object (commonly measured in kg).

c: Is the specific heat capacity of the substance making up the object (commonly measured in J/kg.K).

t1: Is the initial temperature of the object (commonly measured in °C or K).

t2: Is the final temperature of the object (commonly measured in °C or K).

Thus, t2 is the temperature the object achieves after absorbing a certain amount of heat.

Additionally, we need to know the following parameters:

Mass of the object (m): Unit is kg.

Specific heat capacity of the substance (c): This value is often found in tables.

Initial temperature (t₁): Unit is °C or K.

Final temperature (t₂): Unit is °C or K.

Illustrative example: You want to calculate the heat required to heat 2 liters of water from 25°C to 100°C. Given the specific heat capacity of water is 4200 J/kg.K and the density of water is 1000 kg/m³.

Solution:

Step 1: Calculate the mass of the water:

Mass = Density x Volume = 1000 kg/m³ x 2 liters = 2 kg.

Step 2: Apply the formula:

Q = m.c.(t₂ - t₁) = 2 kg x 4200 J/kg.K x (100°C - 25°C) = 630000 J = 630 kJ.

Step 3: Conclusion

Thus, to boil 2 liters of water from 25°C to 100°C, you need to supply a heat amount of 630 kJ.

Will 8th-grade students achieving the advanced student title in the 2024-2025 school year in Vietnam receive a certificate of merit?

Under Article 21 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, the education schedule is stipulated as follows:

Entry into force

1. This Circular comes into force from September 5, 2021 according to following roadmap:

- From school year of 2021-2022 for the 6th grade.

- From school year of 2022-2023 for the 7th and 10th grade.

- From school year of 2023-2024 for the 8th and 11th grade.

- From school year of 2024-2025 for the 9th and 12th grade.

...

Under Article 15 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, the regulations on awarding certificates of merit are as follows:

Commendations

1. Principals shall award certificates of achievement for students

a) End-of-year commendation

- Award the title “Học sinh Xuất sắc” (Excellent student) for students who have obtained Excellent training and learning results for the entire school year and achieved DTBmcn of at least 9.0 in subjects that are assessed via both feedback and scores.

- Award the title “Học sinh Giỏi” (Good student) for students who have obtained Excellent training and learning results for the entire school year.

b) Commend students for having unexpected merits in training and learning in the school year.

2. Students with special achievements shall be considered and requested for commendation by schools.

Therefore, the regulation will be applicable to 8th-grade students in the 2024-2025 school year. According to the regulation, the principal only awards certificates of merit to students achieving the titles of "Good Student," "Excellent Student," and students with special achievements in training and learning during the school year.

Thus, 8th-grade students achieving the advanced student title in the 2024-2025 school year in Vietnam will not receive a certificate of merit.

Will the new general education program apply to 8th-grade students in the 2024-2025 school year in Vietnam?

According to the regulation in Article 2 of Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the general education program is stipulated as follows:

The general education program applies to:

1. first grade from academic year 2020-2021.

2. second and sixth grade from academic year 2021-2022

3. third and seventh grade from academic year 2022-2023

4. fourth, eighth and eleventh grade from academic year 2023-2024.

5. fifth, ninth and twelfth grade from academic year 2024-2025.

Therefore, according to the above regulation, from the 2023-2024 school year, the new general education program applies to 8th-grade students.

Thus, 8th-grade students in the 2024-2025 school year will learn the new general education program.
