How do training institutions use software to filter and select admitted university candidates for 2024?

Based on Subsection 4, Section 3 of Official Dispatch 1957/BGDĐT-GDĐH 2024, the training institutions utilize the selection software to filter and select admitted university candidates for 2024 as follows:

- For institutions using their own software for selection, it is particularly noted: Upgrade the selection software to ensure compliance with current data structure and regulations (preferential points and priority point calculations...);

- If an institution uses multiple combination methods, the software must be capable of processing all selection methods and combinations for candidates (provided candidates meet the regulations) according to the published Annual Training Program (ATP);

- Carefully check and review to ensure candidates are admitted to the course most likely to ensure their success.

What are the regulations concerning the admissions of higher educational institutions in Vietnam in 2024?

The admissions of higher educational institutions, specifically universities, will be carried out according to Subsection 5, Section 3 of Official Dispatch 1957/BGDĐT-GDĐH 2024 as follows:

* Only organize selection for programs/courses that meet training conditions as per the regulations. For courses that cease to enroll, announce publicly on the institution's website;

- During the selection process, ensure the number of admitted candidates after estimating the non-admission rate fits the announced target and does not exceed the number as per the enrollment quota determination regulations;

- When information regarding ID/citizen ID card/Identity Code between the System and the candidate's declaration at the training institution is inconsistent, the institution uses the ID/citizen ID card/Identity Code on the System and consistently throughout the selection condition, preference handling, and enrollment process. The correct ID/citizen ID card can be updated after the candidate has enrolled at the training institution;

- The System has supported training institutions that conduct early selection reports with the statistics of candidates eligible for selection who have registered for preferential selection to the training institution or another, and download the statistical report;

- The training institution logs into the System, selects the Report feature, downloads the statistical report containing data and status of candidates registered for early preferential selection;

- Review the list of candidates notified to be eligible for selection. If the candidate is not eligible as previously announced, the institution must promptly contact, notify the candidate, and provide support plans.

* For direct selection methods, the institution specifies suitable courses based on the subject, content, or profession of the competition, contest, or achievement;

- The institution organizes receipt, selection of direct admission documents for candidates (direct selection per Article 8 of the University Enrollment Regulation, college admission for Early Childhood Education promulgated with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDĐT) and updates the list of candidates eligible for selection on the System (direct selection function) within the specified time for the candidate to confirm enrollment;

* Note: Do not enter the list of candidates selected directly according to the institution's recruitment proposal (not under direct selection as per Article 8 of the University Enrollment Regulation, college admission for Early Childhood Education promulgated with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDĐT) into the direct selection function on the System.
