According to the regulation in Article 2a of Circular 02/2021/TT-BGDDT supplemented by Clause 1 Article 2 of Circular 08/2023/TT-BGDDT, 4th-grade teachers must meet the following professional ethics standards:

- Comply with the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the laws of the State, and the regulations of the education sector and localities concerning primary education.

- Regularly cultivate ethics, uphold a sense of responsibility, maintain the integrity, honor, and reputation of educators; set an example for students.

- Love, treat students fairly, and respect them; protect the legitimate rights and interests of students; unite and help colleagues.

- Strictly adhere to the general responsibility and obligation regulations of public employees and the Ministry of Education and Training’s regulations on teacher ethics.

What are the regulations on salary grading for 4th-grade teachers in Vietnam?

According to Article 8 of Circular 02/2021/TT-BGDDT, the salary grading for 4th-grade teachers in Vietnam is as follows:

- Public employees appointed to professional titles of primary school teacher will be applied payroll issued along with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP. Specifically:

+ Primary school teacher, Grade III, code V.07.03.29, is applied payroll applicable to public employee A1, ranging from a salary coefficient of 2.34 to a salary coefficient of 4.98;

+ Primary school teacher, Grade II, code V.07.03.28, is applied payroll applicable to public employees type A2, group A2.2, ranging from a salary coefficient of 4.00 to a salary coefficient of 6.38;

+ Primary school teacher, Grade I, code V.07.03.27, is applied payroll applicable to public employees type A2, group A2.1, ranging from a salary coefficient of 4.40 to a salary coefficient of 6.78.

- The salary grading when being appointed to a professional title grade shall follow the guidance in Clause 1 Section II Circular 02/2007/TT-BNV and according to current legal regulations. When implementing new salary policies, the regradin to new payrolls will follow the regulations of the Government of Vietnam.
