On September 19, 2024, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City issued Plan 5943/KH-SGDDT in 2024 regarding the organization of the Examination for excellent students in solving Mathematics on handheld calculators for continuing education at city level for the academic year 2024-2025. To be specific:
Participants
Students of Continuing Education in grades 10, 11, and 12 who are studying at the centers in the school year 2024-2025 with a good or higher academic and conduct rating for the first semester, and are members of the excellent student team of the units participating in the exam.
Exam Contents
- Continuing Education program for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology.
- Exam duration: 60 minutes (for all subjects).
- Exam subjects: Solving math problems on handheld calculators for Mathematics 12, Physics 12, Chemistry 12, and Biology 12.
Exam Organization
- Exam date: January 8, 2025 (students gather at 07:00 at the exam location).
- Exam location: Chu Van An Continuing Education Center, 546 Ngo Gia Tu, Ward 9, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
Exam Plan Implementation Schedule for Excellent Students Solving Math Problems on Handheld Calculators in Ho Chi Minh City
- From September 6, 2024, to September 20, 2024: Develop and implement the plan to the centers.
- From December 18, 2024, to December 20, 2024: Submit the list to issue the exam decisions.
- From December 20, 2024, to December 27, 2024: Receive the registration list of candidates and organize the examination board.
- January 6, 2025: Meeting of the Exam Steering Committee and the Board of Examiners, inspecting the facilities of the Examination Council.
- January 7, 2025: Full meeting of the Board of Examiners.- January 8, 2025: Conducting the exam.
- January 9, 2025: Meeting of the Grading Committee.
- From January 10, 2025, to January 15, 2025: Grading.
- January 16, 2025: Consolidating, scoring, processing results.
- January 17, 2025: Submit the results for the Board of Directors' approval and announce the results.

What are enrollment subjects in continuing education centers in Vietnam?
According to Article 12 of the Regulation on the organization and activities of the Continuing Education Center issued together with Circular 10/2021/TT-BGDDT, the subjects of enrollment into the continuing education centers include:
- Subjects enrolling in the Continuing Education program to obtain a lower secondary school diploma are those who have completed the primary education program or the literacy program.
- Subjects enrolling in the Continuing Education program to obtain an upper secondary school diploma are those who have graduated from lower secondary school.
- For enrollment into non-initial classes, if the student's academic record shows satisfactory results and the student is promoted, the Center will arrange for them to be admitted to the next grade.
What are duties and rights of students in continuing education centers in Vietnam?
According to Article 25 of the Regulation on the organization and activities of the Continuing Education Center issued together with Circular 10/2021/TT-BGDDT, the duties of students in continuing education centers include:
- Respect teachers, managers, and staff of the Center; comply with the Center's rules and the regulations of this Regulation.
- Fully meet the study and practice requirements according to the Center's regulations.
- Preserve and protect the Center’s property.
- Contribute to building, protecting, and promoting the traditions of the Center.
- Pay tuition fees fully and on time (for students who are required to pay tuition).
The rights of students in continuing education centers are stipulated in Article 26 of the Regulation on the organization and activities of the Continuing Education Center issued together with Circular 10/2021/TT-BGDDT including:
- Be respected and treated equally, and be fully informed about their studies.
- Choose the study program, study mode, and study location suitable to their abilities, conditions of themselves, and the Center; be facilitated to transfer programs, forms, and study locations if desired and accepted at the place of transfer.
- Participate in the Center's activities as stipulated.
- Directly or through legal representatives to protect their legitimate rights and interests, contribute feedback on content, teaching methods, and other activities of the Center.
- Benefit from a part of the labor, technical practice, and other activities they participate in; be considered for scholarships and social allowances as prescribed by law.
- Students who complete all continuing education programs according to regulations are granted diplomas, certificates, and certification.
