Is Literature in grade 6 in Vietnam evaluated by scores or comments?
Based on Article 5 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT:
Evaluation Forms
...
- Evaluation by scores
a) Teachers use scores to assess the students' training and learning results.
b) Evaluation by scores is used in regular, periodic assessments through tests and evaluating the performance of students’ training and learning tasks suitable for the subject's characteristics.
- Evaluation form for subjects
a) Evaluation by comments for subjects: Physical Education, Arts, Music, Fine Arts, Local Educational Content, Experience Activities, and Vocational Guidance; learning results by subjects are evaluated by comments in one of two levels: Achieved, Not Achieved.
b) Combining comments and scores for evaluation in subjects in the general education program, except for the subjects specified in point a of this clause; learning results by subjects are evaluated by scores on a 10-point scale. If other scales are used, they must be converted to the 10-point scale. The evaluation score is an integer or a decimal rounded to one decimal place.
Thus, subjects such as Physical Education, Arts, Music, Fine Arts, Local Educational Content, Experience Activities, and Vocational Guidance are evaluated by comments.
The remaining subjects, including Grade 6 Literature, are evaluated by combining comments and scores.
