- Focus more on the requirement to comprehend specific content, understand the theme, and draw lessons from the text.
- Start to be able to write a complete short essay, mainly narrative, descriptive, and simple introductions.
- Write narratives about stories read, witnessed, or participated in; describe familiar objects, phenomena; introduce objects and activities close to students' lives. Write paragraphs expressing students' feelings and thoughts when reading a story, poem, witnessing an event that evokes many emotions; give opinions on a simple issue in study and life; write various types of documents such as: autobiographies, messages, invitations, schedules, applications; begin to know the writing process; the essay should have three parts (introduction, body, conclusion).
- Present ideas and feelings clearly; start to use appropriate gestures and body language when speaking; recount clearly the stories read or heard; share and exchange feelings, attitudes, and thoughts on discussed topics; explain a simple object or process.
- Listen with the right attitude and grasp the main content; recognize the emotions of the speaker; know how to respond to what has been heard.
