Under Clause 2, Article 22 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulations issued with Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDDT (effective from February 8, 2025), students taking the High School Graduation Exam will be assigned rooms as follows:

2. Arrangement of exam rooms:

a) Candidates who have graduated from high school, candidates who have completed the general education/continuing education program but have not yet graduated in previous years, graduates from post-secondary schools participating in the exam, and continuing education candidates will be arranged to take the exam together with candidates who are 12th-grade students during the exam year (referred to as 12th-grade candidates) at certain testing locations decided by the Director of the Department of Education and Training; ensuring that there are at least 50% of 12th-grade candidates among the total number of candidates at the testing location (in special cases, approval from the Ministry of Education and Training is required); the list for room assignments is made according to the regulations in point a, clause 1 of this Article;

b) Exam rooms are assigned according to the elective test paper, each exam room has a maximum of 24 candidates and must ensure a minimum distance of 1.2 meters between two candidates sitting next to each other horizontally; the list for room assignments is made according to the regulations in point a, clause 1 of this Article;

c) The number of exam rooms for each Exam Council is numbered in ascending order;

d) Each exam room has a Photo List of candidates in the exam room, arranged in order corresponding to the list of candidates in the exam room;

dd) In front of the exam room, the List of candidates in the exam room for each testing session and the responsibilities of candidates as specified in Article 21 of this Regulation.

Thus, from February 8, 2025, the exam rooms for candidates taking the High School Graduation Exam in Vietnam will be arranged according to the subjects of the elective paper.

What are the requirements regarding question papers for the high school graduation exam 2025 in Vietnam?

Under Article 5 of the high school graduation exam regulations issued with Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDDT, the requirements regarding question papers for the high school graduation exam 2025 in Vietnam are as follows:

In an exam, there is an official question paper and a backup question paper for each subject. The question paper must meet the following requirements:

- The content of the question paper must comply with Clause 2, Article 4 of these Regulations;

- Ensure accuracy, scientific, and pedagogical nature; wording and phrasing must be clear;

- Closely follow the required standards in the General Education Program; ensure the classification of candidates;

- Written question papers must specify the score for each question; the scores for exam subjects are calculated on a 10-point scale;

- Each question paper must include an answer key, and for essay exams, there must be additional marking guidelines;

- The question paper must indicate the number of pages (for question papers with more than two pages); mark the word "END" at the end of the question paper.

What is the common process for marking multiple-choice papers in Vietnam?

Under Clause 1, Article 34 of the Regulations on High School Graduation Exam issued with Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDDT (effective from February 8, 2025), the common process for marking multiple-choice papers in Vietnam is specified as follows:

- Members of the multiple-choice paper marking team and individuals performing related duties in the multiple-choice paper marking area are not allowed to bring pencils, erasers, or other prohibited items as per the examination regulations into the marking room; they are not allowed to modify or add to the candidate’s Multiple-Choice Answer Sheet in any form or for any reason;

- Members of the multiple-choice paper marking team must strictly adhere to the procedure for marking multiple-choice papers as stipulated; if any irregularities are detected during the process, they must immediately report to the Head of the multiple-choice paper marking team to jointly record, report to the Marking Board leadership for handling;

- The Supervision Team for marking multiple-choice papers works independently of the multiple-choice paper marking teams and is responsible for: closely supervising the process of marking multiple-choice papers, and the process of safeguarding exam papers in the multiple-choice marking area as stipulated by the examination regulations. If any irregularities are detected during their duties, the Supervision Team must report to the Marking Board leadership to temporarily suspend the marking process, request the Marking Board to verify and handle before continuing;

- All Multiple-Choice Answer Sheets (candidate work) must be graded by machine using the same specialized software provided by the Ministry of Education and Training, from imaging to yielding the exam score of each candidate;

- Computers serving the marking of multiple-choice papers are networked into a local LAN; the casing and unused or unnecessary ports on marking computers, and the marking server are sealed before conducting marking;

- Before cutting the exam paper bag for marking, the seal must be checked and the signature on the Multiple-Choice Answer Sheet bag must be compared with the Exam Place sample signature;

- During the marking process, the Marking Board must strictly comply with updates and promptly report to the Ministry of Education and Training according to regulations.
