What are the training forms for college programs in Early Childhood Education in Vietnam?
Under Article 4 of the Regulations on College Programs in Early Childhood Education issued with Circular 07/2023/TT-BGDDT, there are two training forms for college-level Early Childhood Education in Vietnam. including full-time training and part-time training. Each form is specified as follows:
- Full-time training
+ Teaching activities are conducted at the training institution; however, practical activities, internships, real-world experiences, and online teaching can be conducted outside the training institution;
+ Teaching activities are organized from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM from Monday to Saturday; specific activities of the training program are organized according to the regulations of the training institution.
- Part-time training
+ Teaching activities are conducted at the training institution or at a cooperative training institution according to the training linkage regulations in Article 5 of this Regulation; practical activities, internships, real-world experiences, and online teaching can be conducted outside the training institution and cooperative training institution;
+ Teaching activities are flexibly organized during the day and week.

When are students pursuing college programs in Early Childhood Education in Vietnam eligible for graduation recognition?
According to Clause 1, Article 14 of the Regulations on College Programs in Early Childhood Education issued with Circular 07/2023/TT-BGDDT, students pursuing college programs in Early Childhood Education in Vietnam are assessed for graduation recognition when meeting the following conditions:
- Accumulate enough units of study, and credits, and complete other compulsory contents according to the program requirements, achieving the program's output standards;
- The cumulative grade point average for the entire course is average or higher;
- At the time of considering graduation, not being prosecuted criminally or not under disciplinary action of suspension from study.
Note: Students who have reached the maximum study duration as regulated but are not eligible for graduation due to not completing the Physical Education or National Defense and Security Education units of study or not meeting output standards for the foreign language and informatics, within 2 years from when they cease studying, can complete the missing conditions and request consideration for graduation recognition.
When may students pursuing college programs in Early Childhood Education in Vietnam apply for a temporary leave of absence?
Under Article 15 of the Regulations on College Programs in Early Childhood Education issued with Circular 07/2023/TT-BGDDT regarding temporary leave of absence and dropping from Study:
Temporary leave of sbsence, dropping from study
1. A student may apply for a temporary leave of absence and retain the study results in the following cases:
a) Be mobilized into the armed forces;
b) Be mobilized by a competent authority to participate in international competitions or tournaments;
c) Suffer from sickness, be on maternity or suffer from an accident requiring long-term treatment with certification from a competent medical facility as regulated by the Ministry of Health;
d) Temporarily leave for other personal reasons but must have completed at least 01 semester at the training institution and do not fall into cases of being considered for compulsory dropping from study or disciplinary action.
2. The period of temporary leave of absence for personal reasons must be included in the official study duration regulated in Clause 5, Article 2 of this Regulation.
3. Students who withdraw from study for personal reasons, except in cases of compulsory withdrawal or disciplinary consideration, must retake the entrance exam like other candidates if they wish to return to study.
4. The regulations of the training institution provide specific conditions, authority, procedures for considering temporary leave of absence, re-enrollment, and dropping from Study; they also regulate retention and recognition of accumulated study results for students who withdraw from study.
Thus, a student pursuing college programs in Early Childhood Education in Vietnam apply for a temporary leave of absence in the following cases:
- Be mobilized into the armed forces;
- Be mobilized by a competent authority to participate in international competitions or tournaments;
