What are the guidelines for specifying reasons for the necessity of green industry development? What are the required outcomes regarding industrial content in the 9th-grade History and Geography curriculum in Vietnam?

What are the guidelines for specifying reasons for the necessity of green industry development?

Green industry development not only contributes to protecting the living environment but also aims for sustainable development, ensuring long-term benefits for both humans and ecosystems.

Below are suggested reasons for the necessity of green industry development:

1. Meeting Environmental Protection and Climate Change Mitigation Requirements

- Green industry development is an important solution for recycling waste, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and protecting the living environment.

- Green industries enhance the efficiency of resource and energy use, thereby reducing pressure on the increasingly depleted natural resources.

- Contribute to mitigating the impacts of climate change by using advanced technologies, reducing emissions, and limiting environmental pollution.

2. Ensuring Public Health

- Green industries produce safe products that do not harm consumer health and the community.

- Decrease air, water, and soil pollution, ensuring a healthier living environment for the population, especially in areas with high industrial density.

3. Promoting Sustainable Economic Development

- Reducing costs and increasing economic efficiency:

+ Resource and waste recycling helps save input costs, materials, fuels, and energy in production.

+ Circular production among businesses (one company's output is another company's input) helps minimize resource waste.

- Creating high-quality products:

+ Green industries aim for products meeting international standards, thus satisfying global market demands and increasing competitiveness.

+ Exporting products to demanding markets like the EU, USA, Japan at lower tariffs by meeting environmental standards.

4. Addressing Current Industrial Development Issues

- Overcoming environmental pollution:

+ Green industry development helps minimize industrial waste, thus addressing severe environmental pollution in many areas.

- Modernizing production:

+ Green industries require the application of advanced technologies, thereby raising the level of scientific and technological expertise and innovation in production.

5. Aligning with Global Development Trends

- Currently, sustainable development and green industry are inevitable global trends.

- Many countries have introduced policies, standards, and strict environmental requirements for imported goods, thus Green industry development helps businesses integrate better into the international market.

Conclusion

Green industry development not only brings economic benefits but also contributes to environmental protection, improving the quality of life and steering towards sustainable development. This is a necessary and strategic step to build a modern, environmentally friendly economy that adapts to global challenges.

What are the required outcomes regarding industrial content in the 9th-grade History and Geography curriculum in Vietnam?

Under Section 5 of the General Education Program for History and Geography at the Lower Secondary Level issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the required outcomes regarding industrial content in the 9th-grade History and Geography curriculum are as follows:

- Analyze the role of one of the important factors affecting the development and distribution of industries.

- Present the development and distribution of one of the main industrial sectors.

- Identify major industrial centers on the map.

- Explain why green industry development is necessary.

What are the requirements for 9th-grade students in Vietnam regarding scientific geographical cognition capability?

Under Section 4 of the General Education Program for History and Geography at the Lower Secondary Level issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the requirements for 9th-grade students in Vietnam regarding scientific geographical cognition capability are as follows:

(1) Cogniting the world from a spatial perspective

- Spatial orientation: know how to use various means, especially maps, to accurately determine direction; know how to locate the geographical position of a place and directions on a map; know how to analyze the scope and scale of a territory.

- Analyze geographical position: know how to analyze the influence of geographical position on natural and socio-economic processes.

- Analyze distribution: describe the distribution characteristics of geographical objects and phenomena.

- Express spatial cognition: using mental maps to describe spatial cognitions; using maps to describe spatial relationships between geographical phenomena and objects; describing a locality with distinctive natural, demographic, and economic characteristics; thereby forming a notion of the locality's identity and distinguishing it from others.

(2) Explaining geographical phenomena and processes (natural, socio-economic)

- Analyze reciprocal and causal relationships in nature

+ Describe some geographical phenomena and processes on Earth; describe the differentiation of nature across continents; describe the main characteristics of Vietnam's nature; explain some factors affecting the differentiation of Vietnam's nature.

+ Use schematics to describe the interaction between natural phenomena and processes.

+ Recognize and analyze causal relationships among natural components in certain situations.

- Analyze reciprocal and causal relationships in socio-economic contexts

+ Describe the spatial differentiation of population, settlements, economic, and cultural phenomena; explain some factors affecting that differentiation through a specific example.

+ Find evidence of reciprocal and causal relationships in the development and distribution of population and economic sectors.

+ Use schematics to describe the interaction between socio-economic phenomena and processes.

+ Recognize and apply analytical situations of causal relationships in socio-economic life.

- Analyze the impact of natural conditions and resources on the distribution of population and production

+ Analyze the impact of natural conditions and resources on choosing methods of natural resource exploitation by populations in various continents.

+ Evaluate the impact of natural conditions and resource bases on the distribution of population, development of economic sectors, and the formation of economic structures through specific examples about the geography of Vietnam.

- Analyze human impacts on the natural environment

+ Analyze how people in various continents and regions of our country exploit, use, and protect nature.
