5. During the multiple-choice papers, in addition to the provisions in Clause 4 of this Article, candidates must comply with the following regulations:

a) Take the paper on the multiple-choice answer sheet as per the Ministry of Education and Training regulations; only allowed to shade the candidate number, the question paper code, and answer boxes with a black pencil; in the event of shading the wrong or wanting to change an answer, they must erase the pencil marks completely in the old box, then shade the box of their choice;

b) Accurately and completely fill in the blanks in the upper part of the Answer Sheet, for the candidate number, they must enter and shade all parts of the number (including leading zeros); accurately enter the question paper code on two acknowledgements of submission;

c) Check the question paper to ensure it has the sufficient number of questions and pages as stated and that all pages have the same question paper code;

d) Do not submit the paper before the time allotted for the paper ends; at the end of the exam, must submit the Answer Sheet to the Invigilator and sign the two acknowledgements of submission;

dd) Only leave the exam room after the Invigilator has counted all Answer Sheets in the exam room and allowed to leave the room;

e) Candidates only taking the first subject in the optional paper: After submitting the Answer Sheet, must leave the exam room and move to the waiting room until the end of the exam for the last subject before leaving the exam area. During the transition to the waiting room and while in the waiting room, candidates must maintain order and strictly comply with the instructions of the Exam Supervisor or waiting room/area manager. In necessary cases, leaving the waiting room is only allowed with the permission of the waiting room manager and under the supervision of the Exam Supervisor when outside the waiting room;

g) Candidates only attending the second subject in the optional paper must be present at the place where candidates are called into the exam room at least 10 minutes before the question paper distribution to prepare.

Therefore, candidates taking the High School Graduation Exam 2025 in Vietnam are not allowed to submit their multiple-choice papers before the end of the time allotted for the paper. Candidates can only leave the exam room after the time allotted for the paper ends.

What are the cases of exemption from foreign language papers in the High School Graduation Exam in Vietnam?

Under Clause 2, Article 39 of the High School Graduation Exam Regulation issued with Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDDT, the cases of exemption from foreign language papers in the High School Graduation Exam are as follows:

- Members of the national team participating in international foreign language Olympiads as per the Decision of the Minister of Education and Training shall be exempted from the foreign language paper in the high school graduation assessment;

- Individuals possessing one of the foreign language certificates stipulated in Appendix 1 issued with Circular 24/2024/TT-BGDDT or foreign language certificates recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training equivalent to the 6-level foreign language competency framework used for Vietnam (achieving level 3 or above and valid until the date of exam procedures) shall be exempted from the foreign language papers in the high school graduation assessment;

- Individuals eligible for exemption from foreign language papers but still wish to take the foreign language paper in the graduation exam must use the exam results to calculate the high school graduation assessment score.

e) Individuals affected by chemical toxins; children of individuals affected by chemical toxins; children of resistance activists affected by chemical toxins; individuals recognized by competent authorities as malformed, disabled, with reduced self-help abilities in daily activities or work due to the effects of chemical toxins;

e) Individuals aged 35 or older, as of the exam date (for continuing education candidates).

Thus, candidates aged 35 or older as of the exam date (for continuing education candidates in the High School Graduation Exam 2025) are eligible for an additional 0.25 priority points.
