Under the General education program in Literature issued together with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the general orientation for the 12th-grade Literature education method in Vietnam is as follows:

The Literature curriculum applies integrated and differentiated teaching methodologies; diversifies the organization of forms, methods, and teaching tools; and promotes proactive, independent, creative learning and knowledge and skill application among students.

Based on the Literature curriculum, teachers proactively and flexibly build and organize lessons with the following orientations:

- Implement internal integration requirements (both knowledge and skills), cross-disciplinary integration, and prioritize cross-disciplinary educational content; implement differentiated teaching according to students' levels at all grades and contribute to career orientation at the high school level.

- Train students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening methods; practice, experience receiving and applying Vietnamese language and literature knowledge through diverse educational activities inside and outside the classroom; emphasize using teaching tools, overcoming the note-taking teaching method, developing thinking, and enhancing skillful use of tools for students.

- Enhance and promote proactive, self-reliant learning among students; allocate more time for students to study textbooks, practice, present, discuss, and defend academic results to encourage self-directed reading, writing, speaking, and listening according to different requirements and levels; assess students' completion of learning tasks.

When does 1st semester of the 2024-2025 school year end for all education levels in Vietnam?

According to Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT of 2024, it is stipulated as follows:

Issuance of the framework timetable for the 2024 - 2025 school year for preschool education, general education, and continuing education nationwide as follows:

  1. The earliest start of school is one week before the opening ceremony. For grade 1, it is two weeks before the opening ceremony.

  1. Semester I ends before January 18, 2025, and the school year concludes before May 31, 2025.
  1. The recognition of primary education completion and junior high school graduation consideration is to be completed before June 30, 2025.
