Assessment of Training Results of Students

1. Criteria and Organization of assessing Students' Training Results

a) The assessment of students' training results is based on the essential qualities and general competencies required at different levels as specified in the Overall Curriculum and the specific competencies required in the subject-specific curriculum as outlined in the General Education Program.

b) Subject teachers provide feedback, assess the training results, progress, notable strengths, and primary limitations of students during their training and learning process in accordance with point a of this clause.

c) Homeroom teachers monitor the training and learning process of students according to point a of this clause; consult the feedback and assessments from subject teachers, parental feedback, and information from related agencies, organizations, and individuals during the education process; guide students in self-assessment; and based on this, provide feedback and assess the students' training results according to the levels specified in Clause 2 of this Article.

Homeroom teachers, based on the provisions of point a, Clause 1, Article 8 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, monitor the training and learning processes of students; consult the feedback and assessments from subject teachers, parental feedback, and information from related agencies, organizations, and individuals during the education process.

Guide students in self-assessment; based on this, provide feedback and assess the training results of students according to the levels specified in Clause 2, Article 8 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT.

Therefore, according to the regulation, homeroom teachers will assess students' training results based on the essential qualities and general competencies required at different levels as specified in the Overall Curriculum and the specific competencies required in the subject-specific curriculum as outlined in the General Education Program.

According to Clause 6, Article 20 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, the responsibilities of homeroom teachers in lower secondary schools are stipulated as follows:

Responsibilities of Homeroom Teachers

1. Assist the Principal in managing the assessment of the students in the class according to the regulations of this Circular.

2. Confirm the correction of scores and assessment levels of subject teachers; compile the training and learning results of students each semester and academic year in the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based), Student Record Book.

3. assess the training results of each semester and the entire academic year of students; compile the list of students promoted to the next grade, reassessd in subjects, trained during the summer break, not promoted, or awarded.

4. Record or enter the assessment results of each student into the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based), Student Record Book:

a) Feedback on the training and learning results of students; assessment levels of training and learning results of students.

b) Results of promotion or non-promotion; recognition of completion of lower secondary education, or non-recognition; awards.

5. Guide students in self-assessment during their training and learning process. Coordinate with subject teachers, Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Parent Representatives' Board of the class, and related agencies, organizations, and individuals to educate students and receive feedback on their training and learning process.

6. Privately inform parents of the students' training and learning process and results.

According to the regulations, the assessment of lower secondary school students is the responsibility of the homeroom teacher, specifically, the homeroom teacher will perform the following tasks:

- Compile the training and learning results of students each semester and academic year in the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based), Student Record Book.

- Record or enter the assessment results of each student into the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based), Student Record Book:

+ Feedback on the training and learning results of students; assessment levels of training and learning results of students.

+ Results of promotion or non-promotion; recognition of the completion of lower secondary education, or non-recognition; awards.

Therefore, after assessing the training results of lower secondary school students, the homeroom teacher is responsible for sending a private notification to parents about the students' training and learning process and results.

According to Article 18 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, the principal's responsibilities are stipulated as follows:

Responsibilities of the Principal

1. Manage, guide teachers, staff, and students to implement and disseminate the regulations of this Circular to parents.

2. Organize the implementation of the assessment of students according to the regulations of this Circular at the educational institution; direct, inspect, and supervise the frequent assessments and periodic assessments of teachers; monthly record feedback and sign confirmations in the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based).

3. Inspect and assess the recording of results into the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based), teachers' Student Monitoring and assessment Books, and Student Record Books of subject teachers and homeroom teachers; approve the correction of scores and assessment levels of subject teachers after confirmation from the homeroom teacher.

4. Organize the reassessment of subjects according to the regulations in Article 14 of this Circular; approve and announce the list of students promoted to the next grade after the reassessment results of subjects and summer training results.

5. Approve the list of students: promoted, reassessd in subjects, trained during the summer break, not promoted, or awarded. Approve the assessment results of students in the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based) and Student Record Books after all subject teachers and homeroom teachers have fully recorded content.

Therefore, in managing the Student Monitoring and assessment Book for lower secondary schools, the principal has the following responsibilities:

- Monthly record feedback and sign confirmations in the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based).

- Inspect, assess the recording of results in the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based) and the teachers' Student Monitoring and assessment Books.

- Approve the assessment results in the Student Monitoring and assessment Book (class-based).
