Deadline for online payment of university admission registration fees for the first period in 2024 in Vietnam
On July 22, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam issued Official Dispatch 3712/BGDDT-CNTT in 2024 Download regarding the implementation of online payment of university admission registration fees for 2024.
To be specific, according to the University Admission Implementation Plan, College Admission in Early Childhood Education in 2024 by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam (Official Dispatch 1957/BGDDT-GDDH in 2024), candidates will have to complete the registration, adjustment of admission preferences before 5:00 PM on July 30, 2024.
After that, the candidates need to pay the admission registration fee online from July 31, 2024, until 5:00 PM on August 6, 2024.
To ensure safety and convenience and avoid overloading during the online payment process, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam announces the schedule for candidates to make online payments through the Admission Registration Support System based on the province/city where the candidates submitted their applications.

Specifically, the schedule for online university admission fee payment in 2024 for 63 provinces and cities will be divided into 06 periods:

*Note: The local Departments of Education must coordinate and support disseminating information to candidates in their area to know and follow the above-mentioned schedule; simultaneously directing high schools to implement support for candidates. To be specific: - Disseminating and instructing candidates on how to pay the admission fee through the System (attached documents: Instructions for each payment channel; Some recommendations, notes for candidates when making online payments; - Reminding candidates to prepare conditions to participate in online payment according to the above-mentioned Online Payment Instructions; - Ready to assist candidates in payment (through the candidate’s payment software interface) if candidates cannot do it themselves, especially for disadvantaged candidates, candidates in remote areas. For many candidates, this is the first time to make online payments. To ensure candidates' rights, ensuring that no candidate fails to complete online payment transactions, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam requests the Departments to direct educational institutions and take appropriate measures to disseminate promptly the content of this document to each candidate in the area and ensure their online payment process is smooth and safe./. |
Who are the candidates for University Admission 2024 in Vietnam?
Based on Article 5 of the University Admission Regulations, College Admission in Early Childhood Education issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT that stipulate the subjects, conditions for university admission in 2024 as follows:
{1} The subjects for admission determination at the time of the admission selection (before the official announcement of admission results) include:
- Those who have been recognized as graduating from high school (THPT) of Vietnam or have foreign graduation certificates recognized as equivalent;
- Those who have intermediate-level vocational certificates in the same group of subjects as the admission field and have completed the required volume of high school cultural knowledge as prescribed by law.
{2} The subjects prescribed in {1} must meet the following conditions:
- Meet the entry threshold as prescribed in Article 9 of the University Admission Regulations, College Admission in Early Childhood Education issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT;
- Be in good health for studying as prescribed by current regulations;
- Provide sufficient personal information, and application documents as prescribed.
{3} For a training program or training field that simultaneously applies multiple admission methods, the educational institution may specify the subjects and conditions for each admission method, but must comply with the principles prescribed in point b, clause 1, Article 4 of the University Admission Regulations, College Admission in Early Childhood Education issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT.
{4} For candidates with disabilities affecting their learning, educational institutions must take necessary measures and create the best conditions for candidates wishing to apply and study in fields suitable for their health conditions.
What are the Responsibilities of Training Institutions in University Admissions in Vietnam?
According to the provisions of Article 26 of the University Admission Regulations, College Admission in Early Childhood Education issued with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the training institution has the following responsibilities:
- From 2023, build admission regulations to specify the provisions of this Regulation for training forms, publicly available on the training institution's website.
- Organize admission according to the plan and the admission regulations issued, complying with this Regulation and current legal provisions; be accountable to the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, competent authorities, and society for the entire admission work of the training institution.
- Organize internal inspections and examinations, actively resolve risks mentioned in the training institution's admission plan; handle petitions, complaints, denunciations, and violations related to the training institution's admission work as prescribed by this Regulation and related legal provisions.
- Update the list of admitted and enrolled candidates on the system no later than 30 days after the candidate completes the enrollment procedures; report the contents according to the provisions of this Regulation, report the admission situation, and admission results as required by the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.
- Preserve and archive documents related to admissions throughout the training course according to the provisions of the Law on Archives 2011 and regulations on the retention period of professional and operational documents in the education sector.
For training institutions that organize exams, they must also preserve the list of examination rooms, candidates' exam papers, and examination results according to the time limits specified in the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam's High School Graduation Exam Regulation.
