Admission Methods
- The training institution decides one or several admission methods (entrance exams, evaluation, or a combination of both), applied universally to the entire institution or specifically to certain programs, sectors, fields, and training formats. A single program or sector can simultaneously use several admission methods.
- Each admission method must clearly stipulate the evaluation criteria, selection criteria, and methods of combining the criteria to classify, rank, and determine admission conditions for candidates as required by the program or sector. The evaluation and selection criteria must be based on the foundational knowledge and core competencies that the candidate needs to have to follow the program or sector.

Who is eligible to apply for university admission in Vietnam?
According to Article 5 of the Regulation on university admission and preschool education major college admission issued together with Circular 08/2022/TT-BGDDT, the regulations are as follows:
Eligibility and Admission Conditions
- The eligibility for admission is determined at the time of selection (before the official results are announced), including:
a) Those who have been recognized as having graduated from secondary school (THPT) in Vietnam or have a graduation certificate from abroad recognized as equivalent;
b) Those who have graduated from intermediate schools in the relevant vocational group and have completed the required amount of cultural knowledge at the THPT level according to the law.
- The applicants specified in Clause 1 of this Article must meet the following conditions:
a) Meet the admission threshold as stipulated in Article 9 of this Regulation;
b) Have sufficient health to study as per current regulations;
c) Have complete personal information and application documents as required.
- For a training program or sector using multiple admission methods simultaneously, the training institution may stipulate specific eligibility conditions for each admission method, but must comply with the principles stipulated in point b, clause 1, of Article 4 of this Regulation.
- For candidates with disabilities that affect their learning abilities, the training institution shall implement necessary measures and create the best conditions for the candidates to register and study in sectors suitable to their health condition.

- Those recognized as having graduated from secondary school in Vietnam or have a graduation certificate from abroad recognized as equivalent;
- Those who have graduated from intermediate vocational schools in the relevant vocational group and have completed the required amount of cultural knowledge at the secondary school level as per the law.
