Under Clause 2, Article 8 of Circular 22/2021/TT-BGDDT, the training results of 9th-grade students in each semester and the entire academic year are assessed on one of four levels: Excellent, Good, Qualified, and Unqualified.

Under Clause 1, Article 9 of Circular 22/2021/BDGDT, students' learning results by subject are specifically assessed at the following levels:

+ Qualified: When the student attends all examination and assessment under this Circular and obtain assessment at Qualified category.

+ Unqualified: Remaining cases.

Provide specific suggestions: "To improve academic results, the teacher suggests [he/she] focus on [Specify area of improvement, e.g., completing homework thoroughly, attending enrichment classes]. The teacher believes that with [his/her] efforts, better results will be achieved."

Encourage spirit: "The teacher appreciates [his/her] efforts. Always believe in yourself and don't hesitate to ask questions when facing difficulties."

Qualified:

Emphasize effort: "Student [Name] always tries [his/her] best in learning. [He/She] has completed assignments well and actively participated in class activities. However, to achieve higher results, more attention is needed in [Specify area of improvement, e.g., listening to the teacher's lectures, careful test-taking]."

Excellent:

Qualified:

"[He/She] can understand and apply basic English structures, but listening and speaking skills are limited. Tasks are completed correctly but sometimes lack details. Spend more time on pronunciation practice and communication skills to improve."

Unqualified:

"[He/She] has difficulty using basic vocabulary and grammar. Listening and writing skills are weak, and assignments often do not meet requirements. Regular practice and teacher support are needed to enhance abilities."

4. Information Technology

Excellent:

"[He/She] has an excellent approach to information technology, especially in software usage and programming thinking. [He/She] consistently completes practical exercises accurately and creatively, often providing optimal solutions to problems. Good:

What is the eligibility for lower secondary graduation recognition for 9th-grade students in Vietnam?

Under Article 4 of the Regulation on graduation recognition in lower secondary education attached to Circular 31/2023/TT-BGDDT, the eligibility for lower secondary graduation recognition for 9th-grade students is as follows:

9th-grade students shall be recognized for graduation if they:

- Are not older than 21 years old (in calendar year) if they finish Formal education program for lower secondary education; or are at least 15 years old (in calendar year) if they finish Continuous education program for lower secondary education.

In case of students returning from overseas, participating in accelerated study, attending class at an older age, regulations on age and grades of the Ministry of Education and Training.

- Have completed Formal education program for lower secondary education or Continuous education program for lower secondary education.

- Have adequate documents according to Article 6  of the Regulation on graduation recognition in lower secondary education attached to Circular 31/2023/TT-BGDDT.

What is the educational level including 9th grade in Vietnam?

Under Article 28 of the Education Law 2019, the educational level including 9th grade in Vietnam is defined as follows:

Article 28. Educational levels and entry ages

1. Educational levels and age groups of general education are regulated as follows:

a) Primary education lasts for 05 school years, from the first to the fifth grade. The entry age for the first grade is 06;

b) Lower secondary education lasts for 04 school years, from the sixth to the ninth grade. Students must complete the primary educational program before entering the sixth grade. The entry age for the sixth grade is 11;

c) Upper secondary education lasts for 03 school years, from the tenth to the twelfth grade. Students must complete the lower secondary educational program before entering the tenth grade. The entry age for the tenth grade is 15;

2. Cases where schooling could be commenced at younger ages or at higher ages prescribed in clause 1 of this Article are as follows:

a) Commencing schooling at younger ages for students with early intellectual development;

b) Commencing schooling at older ages for students repeating classes, students living in areas with exceptional socio-economic difficulties, students belonging to ethnic minorities, disabled and handicapped students, students with physical or intellectual disadvantages, orphan students, students of poor households, students returning from overseas and other cases as prescribed by law.
