How many students are in a lower secondary school class in Vietnam?
According to Clause 3, Article 16 of the Charter of Lower Secondary schools, Upper Secondary Schools, and Multi-level Schools issued together with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT regarding the classes in lower secondary schools:
Class
- Students are organized into classes. Each class has a class monitor and class vice monitors chosen by student nomination or by the homeroom teacher's recommendation, elected by the students at the beginning of each school year or after each semester. Each class is divided into several student groups; each group has a group leader and a deputy group leader chosen by student nomination or by the homeroom teacher's recommendation, elected by the students at the beginning of each school year or after each semester.
- Class activities ensure democracy, self-management, and cooperation. Each student actively engages in the discussion, participation, and construction of plans for group and class activities with the support of the teacher.
3. The chairman of the provincial People's Committee specifies the number of students in each class aiming to reduce student numbers per class, ensuring that each class does not exceed 45 students in middle and upper secondary school.
- The number of students in specialty school classes is prescribed in the organizational and operational regulations of specialty schools.
Thus, the number of students in a lower secondary school class will be specifically regulated by the chairman of the provincial People's Committee, aiming to reduce the number of students per class, ensuring that each class does not exceed 45 students.
What are requirements for the behavior, conduct, and attire of lower secondary school students in Vietnam?
According to Article 36 of the Charter of Lower Secondary Schools, Upper Secondary Schools, and Multi-level Schools issued together with Circular 32/2020/TT-BGDDT, the requirements for the behavior, conduct, and attire of lower secondary school students are as follows:
- The behavior, language, and conduct of students must be appropriate, respectful, polite, friendly, culturally proper, and suitable for the morality and lifestyle of lower secondary school students.
- Students' attire must be tidy, clean, neat, appropriate for their age, and convenient for school activities. Depending on the conditions of each school, the principal may decide on uniforms if agreed upon by the school and the Parent Representative Committee of the school.
