What are the requirements to be satisfied by 7th-grade English teachers in Vietnam?

Under Section 8 of the General education program in English issued with Circular 32/2018/TT-BGDDT, the requirements to be satisfied by 7th-grade English teachers in Vietnam are as follows:

- Ensure a sufficient number of teachers to conduct the required number of lessons according to the school’s teaching plan. Teachers must meet the English proficiency standards and pedagogical skills appropriate to the educational level as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.

- Teachers need to be fully trained to implement this program. For teachers who have met the professional standards, teacher training should be regularly organized to properly implement the objectives, content, and teaching methods as prescribed by the Program. Teachers need to be trained in assessing and evaluating learning results and using modern equipment in teaching.

- Teachers need to be trained in evaluating textbooks and teaching materials to meet the prescribed output standards for each educational level.

- Educational and training institutions for English teachers should refer to the General education program in English to ensure the training and development programs align with actual requirements.

-  It is required to facilitate the development of teachers' competence in designing regular and periodic assessment activities suitable for supporting students in developing communication skills according to the levels of the National Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam.
